BOUNTY est un beau bonhomme gris et blanc, âgé d'environ 6 ou 7 ans. Trappé dans une colonie de chats par la municipalité puis stérilisé (la pointe de son oreille a été taillée) il a ensuite été remis dehors dans sa colonie. Suite à d'importantes blessures, un bon samaritain nous a apporté le pauvre garçon au refuge car il avait grandement besoin de soins.
BOUNTY est en famille d’accueil depuis janvier 2022. À son arrivée, il était très stressé et se cachait sous le lit, loin des humains. Comme il a un tempérament très doux, il est aussi assez anxieux et peureux - il faut donc le sortir de sa cachette et passer du temps avec lui en lui donnant beaucoup d'amour afin de le sécuriser. Une fois cette période d'adaptation complétée, BOUNTY s'avère être un minet très affectueux qui adore se faire caresser et brosser ; il aime se coller sur vous en regardant la télévision et faire des siestes avec vous sur le sofa ou sur le lit :) Quoique notre gentil monsieur soit très tranquille, il s'amuse beaucoup avec ses jouets (les balles et le laser sont ses favoris !) ainsi qu'avec ses toutous.
Pesant 17-18 livres, BOUNTY est en léger surplus de poids et idéalement doit en perdre un peu. Il est porteur du virus de l’immunodéficience féline (FIV) mais sa santé est très bonne et stable; il ne requiert pas plus de soins qu'un autre chat. Il a simplement besoin d'un suivi vétérinaire annuel, de la nourriture de qualité et beaucoup de tendresse. Il doit cependant demeurer un chat d'intérieur en tout temps.
BOUNTY sera heureux dans un environnement serein et chaleureux avec des gens calmes qui ont du temps pour interagir avec lui régulièrement pour augmenter sa confiance. Nous recommandons fortement que BOUNTY cohabite avec au moins un autre chat sociable et non-dominant car la présence d'un ami félin l'aide à gérer son stress cependant une introduction graduelle sera nécessaire. Le grand gaillard est plutôt soumis face aux autres chats et ne démontre aucune méchanceté. Il va même câliner les autres chats et faire leur toilette. De plus, nous recherchons un foyer sans enfants et sans chiens pour assurer son épanouissement et son bien-être.
BOUNTY ne l’a pas eu facile et mérite vraiment une famille aimante pour la vie, remplie de câlins et de douceurs. Ce merveilleux félin donne beaucoup d’amour lorsqu’il a confiance en son humain...c'est vraiment une perle !

BOUNTY is a handsome grey and white kitty who is six or seven years old. Prior to coming to the shelter, he lived in a cat colony and was trapped, sterilized and returned outdoors to his colony (note his ear tip is snipped). Afterwards, he was unfortunately badly injured so a kind person brought the poor boy to us as he really needed our help & care.
BOUNTY has been with a foster family since January 2022. When he arrived, he was very stressed out and always hiding under the bed, far away from humans. He is very sweet-natured but he is also somewhat fearful and feels anxious - so it is important to remove him from his hiding place, spend time with him and give him lots of love so he can feel safe. Once his integration period completed, BOUNTY reveals himself to be a very affectionate kitty who adores to be caressed and brushed. He loves to cuddle next to you while watching TV and take naps with you on the sofa or the bed :) Even though this gentleman is very tranquil, he has a lot of fun playing with his toys (balls & laser pointers are his favorites!) and cuddling his stuffed animals.
Weighing in at 17-18 pounds, BOUNTY is slightly overweight and should ideally loose a bit of weight. He was diagnosed with FIV - Feline Immunodeficiency Virus however his health is very good and stable. He requires the same care as any other cat, such as an annual veterinarian visit, a healthy diet and lots of tenderness but must remain strictly an indoor cat.
BOUNTY will be happiest in a home with people who have time to interact with him regularly to increase his confidence. We strongly recommend that BOUNTY live in a household that has at least another sociable and non-dominant cat as the presence of a feline friend helps him manage his stress but gradual introductions will be required. Our big fellow is quite submissive around other cats and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He even started cuddling and grooming the other cats. We are looking for a household without children or dogs to ensure his happiness and wellbeing.
BOUNTY had very rough beginnings and now deserves a loving family and a life filled with sweetness, comfort and security. He gives a lot of love when he trusts his human and is truly a gem of a cat!
