He and Luna's dam share the same sire, the friesian stallion Apollo* and, if I am correct, both Stonewall Fantasia in their damline, too.

Racines / Roots

En cette fête Nationale de la Saint-Jean Baptiste, on met de l'avant notre fierté d'avoir maintenant le Stonewall Sporthorse chez nous au Québec grâce à l'importation de Luna en 2023 de la Californie.

Pleins feux sur ses origines du côté de sa «damline».

Stonewall Calypso, la mère de Luna, provient d'une forte lignée de juments développée sur plusieurs générations et qui est l'aboutissement de ce que s'imaginait Michael Muir comme le parfait standard de la race Stonewall.

Ses racines californiennes ont été soigneusement développées à partir des meilleurs représentants de conformation, d'athlétisme, de tempérament -avec la signature particulière et élégante de la robustesse, la noblesse et l'intelligence des meilleurs chevaux Frison (ce qui était très important pour moi dans le choix de ma future partenaire sportive à pois).

Nos racines sont importantes. Nous n'avons fait aucun compromis sur celles de notre jument et nous en sommes fiers. Elle saura apporter une richesse unique au Québec pour les futures générations de chevaux de sport. ⚜️🫶

Stonewall Sporthorses are bred to drive.
For now more than 7 generations, their traits have been carefully selected to pass on intelligence, athleticism, soundness and trainability.

Why traveling as far as San Francisco to import our foundation mare to Canada 🇨🇦 ?
We chose a Stonewall Sporthorse not only because I have a thing for the "spotted Friesians"; you can cross almost any Friesian or part Friesian with a spotted coated horse and get your mix if you want one.
Even more importantly, we went this far and fell for this breed because their mind is made to work with people with disabilities of all kinds, to bring them joy and a purpose in life; so their cleverness, their gentleness and connexion with the humans have no equivalent. Plus they are very nice, balanced movers. That is what we call a purposeful Breed.

No surprise Luna gets very easily the principles of longreining. Not asking much at this point, just getting used to the new feelings in her body and mind in a safe area. We are building the foundations of our work under the saddle.

So exciting!

Baby horse, baby lessons.

Warm thanks again to the Access Adventure team as Luna was cleary deeply loved where she was born, she was so well handled and cared for, she arrived as a weanling already so eager to learn and very connected to humans, who she always relies on for safety and praise since day 1 . 👏💖
We only need to nurture this.

Parce que depuis le début on cultive une expérience positive du travail pour le cheval.
