What I do
I copy written text from one language (Canadian/US English) to another (French Canada/France/International), zeroing in on the ideas the author wants to convey, rather than on individual words. Hence an English sentence that uses 10 words to express a meaning may contain only two words in French, and vice-versa (most often the latter). For this I use a computer and a computer assisted to

ol (CAT) and a text processor that handles the format in which the document is presented to me (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel). This work sometimes involves verifying the text as it will appear in print.
