Pets leave paw prints on our hearts forever 🌈💙

Many pets are woven so deeply into our lives that even after goodbye, they remain part of our everyday world.

In the quiet routines.
In the memories that appear without warning.
In the spaces they used to fill so effortlessly.

Today, on World Pet Memorial Day, we honour the beloved companions whose paw prints will forever remain part of our story 🐾

Their lives mattered.
Their love mattered.
And the bond we shared with them continues on, even beyond goodbye.

If you'd like to, we would love for you to share your pet’s name or a favourite memory below 🤍

🐾 Should other pets be present during a goodbye? For many families, the answer is yes. 🤍

One of the gentle benefits of in-home euthanasia is that your pet can remain surrounded by the companions who know and love them best — including their furry family members. 🐶🐱

Allowing other household pets the chance to see, smell, and stay close during those final moments can sometimes help reduce confusion and support their grieving process afterward. Your calm, familiar home environment often brings comfort to everyone involved. 🕊️

Every pet and family is different, and there is never one “right” choice. We’re always happy to help guide families through what may feel most peaceful and appropriate for their unique situation.

If you’ve experienced another pet grieving the loss of a companion, we’d love for you to share about your experience in the comments. Sharing your story may help another pet family who is considering an in-home goodbye for their beloved companion. 🤍

Testimonial Tuesday 🐾❤️

When pets say goodbye at home, it isn’t just easier for them—it can be healing for their fur siblings, too.

Joanne shared these heartfelt words after saying goodbye to one of her beloved dogs with our in-home service:
“This made such a difference to help our surviving dog understand his fur brother had gone ❤️”

Grief is something our pets feel, too. Being present during a goodbye helps them understand, process, and begin their own journey through loss—just like we do.

Thank you, Joanne, for letting us support your whole family, two- and four-legged alike.
