🚨 Parvovirus Alert: Cases Confirmed in Our Area 🚨

We want to alert our clients that canine parvovirus (parvo) cases have been confirmed locally. This highly contagious and potentially fatal virus affects dogs, especially puppies and unvaccinated dogs.

What is Parvo?
Parvo is a severe viral infection that attacks the gastrointestinal tract, causing:
⚠️ Severe vomiting
⚠️ Bloody diarrhea
⚠️ Lethargy & weakness
⚠️ Loss of appetite
⚠️ Fever or low body temperature

Who is Most at Risk?
- Puppies under 6 months old
- Unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated dogs
- Dogs with weakened immune systems

How to Protect Your Dog:
✅ Vaccinate – Puppies should receive their full series of parvo vaccines, and adult dogs should stay up to date.
✅ Avoid high-risk areas – Dog parks, pet stores, and communal water bowls can be sources of infection.
✅ Practice good hygiene – Parvo spreads through infected f***s and can live on surfaces for months.

If your dog shows any symptoms, seek veterinary care immediately! Early treatment improves the chances of survival.

I have had a lot of people asking lately about DOG FOOD recommendations. Each dog has different needs, so food requirements vary, based on many factors, including; Age, Breed, Health, Individual metabolism etc.
Of course we have to consider the best possible option for our dogs, while also taking into account what we, as their owners, "can afford."
Considering all of that, we all want to do our part to "buy local," and buy "Canadian."
With all of this in mind, I am considering joining up with "Inukshuk" Professional Dog Food as a seller, since I have so many clients asking about dog food.
That said, I would like some feedback on who would be interested in purchasing from us. I don't have exact details yet on pricing, as it depends on the specific formula. Inukshuk has several different formulas suited for your dogs specific needs, so there would be options. If you have a dog with a chicken allergy (which seems more common these days), they have a marine blend. If you have a dog that has trouble "keeping weight on," they have formulas with a higher fat content. We can even calculate how much food per day your dog will need based on the type of food, and often times, people find that they feed less, while gaining a better quality food. (Again, this can vary based on individual dogs).
If there is enough interest, I will purchase some boxes of "samples" of different formulas, for you to test out.

l'll never be able to describe how much I love all the pups we get to take care of. I don't always get pictures of every, single dog, but we enjoy each one the same. Some, we have watched for years and years, others are brand new to Camp K-9, but the excitement and joy from each pup is so fun to be a part of. Each one has different needs; some are shy at first, some are just waiting to pounce from the start, but they all have a special place in our heats. This really is the best job ever. My heart is full💕

There is a respiratory illness going around in dogs right now, which can be easily confused with kennel cough. Bottom line, if your dog is showing symptoms, please do everyone a favor, and keep them home, so as not to spread the virus to others.
Here is an article discussing it "just a bit." I've heard of two of our clients dogs getting it, and the owners were very responsible in keeping them home and letting me know.
Lets keep our pups healthy!

In the past few months, cases of the respiratory illness have been reported in dogs in several U.S. states, however reports are now surfacing of the illness in Canada.
