π¨ Parvovirus Alert: Cases Confirmed in Our Area π¨
We want to alert our clients that canine parvovirus (parvo) cases have been confirmed locally. This highly contagious and potentially fatal virus affects dogs, especially puppies and unvaccinated dogs.
What is Parvo?
Parvo is a severe viral infection that attacks the gastrointestinal tract, causing:
β οΈ Severe vomiting
β οΈ Bloody diarrhea
β οΈ Lethargy & weakness
β οΈ Loss of appetite
β οΈ Fever or low body temperature
Who is Most at Risk?
- Puppies under 6 months old
- Unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated dogs
- Dogs with weakened immune systems
How to Protect Your Dog:

Vaccinate β Puppies should receive their full series of parvo vaccines, and adult dogs should stay up to date.

Avoid high-risk areas β Dog parks, pet stores, and communal water bowls can be sources of infection.

Practice good hygiene β Parvo spreads through infected f***s and can live on surfaces for months.
If your dog shows any symptoms, seek veterinary care immediately! Early treatment improves the chances of survival.
