As some of you may know, I am a HUGE supporter of the PG Humane Society . Ive been involved with them for years and have always been impressed with the genuine love and care that goes into the organization.
Here's a wonderful example. You may have seen their recent post about 14 cats that were starving and invested with ear mites and fleas.
Today I stopped into the 1st Ave location and had a chance to visit them!
This made me so happy..
The Humane Society has literally paid thousands in vet bills so these beautiful cats can have a second chance of a new and better life.
Feel free to head down to 1839 1st Ave to see them for yourself. Maybe youll be inspired to adopt one, or leave a donation so that other cats can have the same opportunities that these ones have.

I had a chance to meet some of these poor kitties yesterday... They are so sweet despite being scared and sick.. I have been fostering these little ones since before their eyes were open. I have lost count how many bottles i have made and how many times I've had to clean their little butts. Being a foster parent has been challenging and rewarding all at once. This Tuesday (16th) they will be moving on the the PG Humane Society as they are now big enough to get adopted. I am so sad to see them leave as I've gotten so attached to them.
If you are looking to adopt a new family member head down to 1839 1st Ave. These three are Penelope, Mabel, and Mr Jake. They have been raised with cats and large dogs so they will fit well in homes with other pets.

Happy international dog day everyone!!! This is my little dude Eddie. I adopted him from the PG Humane Society a couple of years ago. He was left at a vet clinic out of town when it was discovered that his front leg had been broken in two places and his owner was not interested in treatment options. I fostered him as he mended both physically and mentally from his rough start in life. As you can see, he has fully healed and his once busted leg doesnt slow him down one little bit.
One of the things I really enjoy about my job is listening to my clients tell me about their dogs "gotcha day".
There is so many of you that have adopted from shelters, and i get to see so many happy dogs every week because of that. 😊
