Our office remains open for all referral surgery, medical and emergency cases.

We do ask that you work with our team to ensure the health and safety of everyone in our community. Please inform us PRIOR to your arrival at the clinic if you are feeling unwell, are self-isolating, have traveled outside the country or have been in close contact with an international traveler in the past 14 days. This will allow us to assess the situation and proceed accordingly. We will do our best to follow social-distancing recommendations and would appreciate your awareness of the situation as well.

Charlotte was in and had surgery in October to repair her broken humerus (front leg, just below her shoulder). Surgery involved placing a pin to stabilize the fracture and to top it off Charlotte was pregnant!
Charlotte and her baby Hope were in for a visit last week. Her leg has healed and the pin was removed.

Fractured splint bones are more common than you think. They are typically the result of being kicked and surgical removal of the broken bone is required.

Working with animals is always exciting and you never know what is going to happen next. Dr. Gilmer and Kate's morning started with catching a baby bunny that had somehow made his way into the large animal hospital!!

This 22 year old gelding was brought in to have a pe**le tumor removed. The tumor was sent for analysis and determined to be a squamous cell carcinoma. Removal of this type of tumor is usually curative and they have a low risk of metastasis.
