Thank you to our friends Pet Valu for hosting a cat litter drive! We are in desperate need of non-scented, non-clumping clay cat litter! Because we're on a septic system, we can only use non-clumping litter. We also have a few feline friends who currently prefer clay litter. Thanks everyone! :)

Rusty visited Simcoe County's Bounce Radio for Take Me Home Tuesday where he got to hang out with Maarten and Steph (and we are pretty sure he completely won Steph’s heart!).

Meet Dionysus💕

Dionysus is 1 year and 11 months old and looking for her furever home.

She is a thoughtful, gentle girl who is still quite nervous and shy when meeting new people and experiencing new environments. Dionysus takes her time to feel comfortable and prefers to observe from a safe, quiet space before engaging.

Dionysus recently spent time in foster care and is now back at the animal centre, where she continues to show us small signs of trust at her own pace.

She is looking for a calm and patient home where she can keep building confidence in her own time.

With Dionysus, connection happens in quiet, meaningful moments. A soft blink, choosing to stay nearby, or slowly settling a little closer than before. She enjoys her toys and is beginning to spend more time simply relaxing and taking in her surroundings.

She is looking for a home that offers consistency, kindness, and understanding, and a family who will let her move at the speed that feels right for her. In return, she offers a gentle and special bond that grows over time.

Meet and greets happen daily at the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society Midland and District Animal Centre from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 15979 Highway 12 East, Port McNicoll.

🟡 URGENT DONATION REQUEST 🟡

The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society Midland and District Animal Centre is in need of unscented clay, non-clumping cat litter.

Clay litter is specifically required as there are some cats in our care that will only use this type of litter.

Because our facility is on a septic system, it must also be non-clumping. We are unable to accept any clumping litter.

Your donations directly support the daily care and comfort of the cats staying with us, and we are very grateful for any help you can provide.

Donations can be dropped off daily at:
