Our girl Flea is back home after an overnight stay at Central Nova Animal Hospital. There are differing opinions concerning her stay. We found it an incredibly stressful event. Flea was very pleased with the all the love and attention she received from all the great staff at her favorite spa Central Nova 🤦. Flea is already pestering us to book a mani/pedi appointment for her 🤷. All the staff spoil her 😻.

Seriously, Flea had a bit of an accident and banged her head. We are not quite sure what she exactly did. Fell off the cat tree. Ran into something. Must have been quite the crack. We noticed she was off by herself and just kinda staring off to nowhere. We also found a huge lump above her left eye.

With no improvement overnight, we took Flea into see the vet. We all agreed it was most likely a concussion. Our great vets Dr. McKay and Dr. Mitton took great care of Flea. They kept her overnight for IV fluids and meds. By morning Flea was very close to being her old self 😻. So now we are attempting to keep her from too much stimulus for the next few days as she continues to heal.

We just finished our in studio interview!!!
Nik, Amelia and Paul will be on CBC Radio Sydney this evening at about 5:15.
Check out Mainstreet Cape Breton with Wendy Bergfeldt. We were there to promote Maine C***s and our Meet the Breed event at the North Sydney PetValu on May 16 from 11am to 2pm.

Wendy and her staff were all very friendly and made all of us feel very comfortable. Nik was so comfortable he decided the studio desk was his new bed and sprawled out between Wendy and Paul. OMG Nik just always makes himself at home wherever he goes🙀😹

After a very busy week, we are on the road again for the final CCA-AFC show of the 2025/2026 season in Fonthill, Ontario.

Last weekend we were in Lindsay, Ontario for the cat show and the CCA-AFC annual general meeting. Nik and Amelia had a great show. After the AGM, Paul started his new position as CCA-AFC 2nd Vice President.

Our trip is being safely piloted by our girl Mountain Rose Amelia Purrhart 😻. The kitten in the photo is her. ChatGPT Images just added some accessories and scenery around her lol
