It’s been an amazing week here at Pye Dog Rescue. Look who also got adopted! Jax came from a very bad situation and had been pulled from a home by authorities in Guadalajara. He came all the way to Canada and his foster mom fell in love with him (he’s her type 🤣) but her home environment was not right for him in the long term. Then this lovely couple came along who were willing to accept Jax for everything that he is. He now has a home where he is the only dog and he will be spoiled for the rest of his life. He does have to put up with a cat sibling, but you can’t have it all. 😂 We can’t wait to hear all of the updates and to see Jax living the dream. Happy life you spicy little chili pepper! 🌶️ It looks like you are now where you were always meant to be. ❤️

Guess who is ADOPTED!?!Millie (aka Bianca) had a very long journey since being hit by a car not once, but twice. She went through surgery and had a long recovery. She was supported by a couple of wonderful foster families in Mexico, but she couldn’t find a home. I decided I needed to bring her into my little rescue. Then the most wonderful family got in touch to let us know that they were interested in adopting this sweet girl. I cannot overstate how heartwarming this adoption is. Millie will now have two little girls as her best friends. She has other dogs to play with. She has a huge space to run around and chase balls in. She has gone from an unwanted street dog to a beloved family member. Have a happy life, Millie. You deserve it so much.

ADOPTION PENDING. Poor Jax. No one has expressed any interest in this cute little guy. How can that possibly be? He’s a perfectly compact cuddly companion. Please share so that he can find his forever home. He is cuddly, playful, LOVES chasing balls, quirky (like most chihuahuas 😂). Here are his stats:

ADOPTED. 1.5 year old Bianca is available for adoption!
She was rescued last October after being hit by two different cars, one after the other! Her hip was broken requiring surgery and treatment. She has healed up beautifully, and is ready to find her forever family.

Bianca is a sweet, sensitive, and kind-hearted pup who loves everyone she meets. She is still getting to know her current foster siblings but they are older and not as open to playing as she would like. She is completely respectful of their needs and gives them lots of space. She would do well in a home with other dogs. She is also very curious but sweet with the resident cat. We are confident she would be wonderful with children given her temperament. She is a world class cuddler and kisser.

Bianca is well behaved in the home and is fully housetrained. She is crate trained but does not need it. She has been left alone while her foster goes out without incident. She is not a big barker, even with other “barky” dogs around her. She loves going on walks and is doing well on leash though could benefit from some positive reinforcement training. She really wants to please you so would be easy to train!

She oozes gratitude and her needs are so simple. She just wants to be with people who will love her and treat her with kindness. She is the perfect family dog.

3 1/2 year-old Jax is available for adoption! Jax is a Chihuahua mix who had a sad background, but he is ready to start living his very best life. He would do well as an only dog, or perhaps with a calm, balanced dog of similar size. He’s a lover, not a fighter. He would let you carry him around all day. He loves playing with balls of all sizes. He is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations. Reach out if you are interested in adopting Jax.

First morning walkies. Welcome to the beach, Bianca! She is settling in beautifully. She’s curious but gentle with the cat. Her cranky foster sister is already starting to come around. She was a little too interested in the dead 🐟 on the beach, but perfection may be too much to ask for. 😂 I thought she was going to pull more on walks, but she’s not bad. She just needs a little bit more practice.

Welcome to Pye Dog! Jax and Bianca will need some time to settle in, but they are both doing great. Bianca is already my shadow and has the sweetest disposition. She is pure love.

Introducing Jax! Jax is a three-year-old Chihuahua mix who didn’t have the greatest start to life. He will be coming to our rescue early next month. He’s a little shy, but once he starts to trust, he really blooms. He gets along well with other dogs and kids, but he has not been tested with cats. He will be fully vaccinated and neutered.
