🩺 Meet Our Veterinarian 🩺
Dr. Spooner’s expertise is shaped by her lifelong dedication to understanding feline health, behaviour, and welfare. After completing her DVM at FMV l’Université de Montréal, she practiced small animal medicine in both Ontario and Quebec. She grew increasingly frustrated at the lack of treatment for cats with inappropriate urination, and thus she went on to complete a Master of Clinical Medicine in Feline Behaviour. For over 22 years, she has devoted her clinical time to cats only 🐈

Dr. Spooner is a dedicated lifelong learner committed to feline exclusive continuing educational platforms and conferences. Being on the forefront of new behavioural and medical knowledge for cats, Dr. Spooner practices low stress techniques to create a more comfortable and fear-free experience for cats and their families.

As a former chairwoman of the small animal welfare committee of the CVMA and current contributor to the FVMA welfare committee, she helps advance our understanding of feline welfare. In our clinic, we do not label cats as being aggressive; rather, they are anxious and we treat them accordingly 🐱❤️

Message from Owner: "His name is pronounced as Cré-chi-que. He's an outdoor cat that tends to hide in backyards, under decks and possibly in bushes. He can be skittish when people are near him but if you are patient enough he might approach you. He tends to hang out with other cats so if you are a cat owner there is chance he could be near your property. "

Description: Brown fur with black strips on top, his left arm is completely white, has a Habs collar, he's also timid and not neutered.
