Sometimes farming just sucks.

The beautiful little c**t born yesterday went downhill fast. Adrien worked so hard all day to save him, but despite every effort, we lost him. It’s heartbreaking — but that’s the reality of the farming life.

Now we have a mare with no foal. We reached out to a neighbor who had just lost a mare after birthing twins, thinking maybe something good could come out of two tragedies. It felt like maybe things were happening for a reason — maybe our mare was meant to help raise that orphaned foal.

But Wonder Woman (our mare) had other ideas. She made it very clear she wanted nothing to do with the plan. So here we are — another sad, sucky chapter in the story of farming.

There’s so much beauty in this life… but sometimes, there’s just no sugar-coating the hard parts.

What color is he you ask? Why, I have no idea! His sire is a red roan and dam is what I thought was black. Could there be a cream gene hidden in there?

We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of a giant and handsome c**t, born this morning to Echos Blue Hickory!

As requested, he arrived with plenty of chrome—all the flash and flair we could have hoped for. Strong, spirited, and full of presence, he’s already turning heads.
