I also trim cats, birds and other small animals. I can trim some farm animals as well.
⁉️Did you know⁉️
Some dogs and breeds have longer nails, and even regular trimming may not ever get them down as short as nubs! And that’s okay! There’s usually a reason why they have longer nails that genetically link to their breed.
See below 👇 a dog with genetically longer nails (top 2 photos and 2 photos on the left) and her before and after photos! These are trimmed down to where it’s safe to do so and she’s still able to comfortably use her nails and paws. And no floor clicking! 😆
The bottom 2 photos on the right are from a dog that naturally has short nails and can easily get ‘nubs’.
Both are just fine!
I can work with dogs that don’t like their nails trimmed, that love them, that need some restraining and everything in between. The bonus is I’m a certified trainer, which helps me recognize dog behaviour, ‘moods,’ and safely and properly being around all types of dogs.
