Our first trial of the year resulted in some new records: 84 Q’s and 21 titles, including one Lifetime Achievement and 4 (Yes, FOUR!) ATChC Awards!

And huge kudos to every team that stepped to the line to have fun with her dog! Thanks to everyone who made this such a special trial and for all the fun and laughs! We are looking forward to more record-breaking runs at our August trial.

www.backyardagilitydogs.ca. Opening day is Monday May 12, 2025. Entries will not be accepted before this date. Note that there is a separate Premium List (with the trial info) and the fillable Entry Form.

Huge congratulations to Jenna & adorable Oscar on achieving their Intermediate and Advanced Trick Dog titles with Do More With Your Dog! I'm so impressed with the skills this little dog shows! Looking forward to seeing their tricks for their Expert repertoire!

Crazy Jumpers Dog School & Boarding is presenting a Novice Trick Dog Evaluation and an Intermediate Trick Dog Seminar on Sunday February 23 from 10am-2:30pm. There are only a few spots left! See details below including a list of Novice tricks... only 15 tricks are needed to achieve the Novice Trick Dog title! Tricks don't have to be performed perfectly and a lure or toy is allowed for 50% of the Novice level tricks being performed. Contract Patricia at Crazy Jumpers to register!

Here’s a great app for AAC competitors developed by Qui Yan (she played at BADogs once before). It allows you to see your dogs current titles and tracks their progress toward future titles. Other venues are in development.

BADogs is excited to announce we will be hosting 2 AAC trials in 2025:

June 28-29, 2025: 2 full days. Judges Laurie Keith & Pierre Lalonde

August 29, 30, 31 & Sept 1, 2025. Yup! 4 days of agility fun with Esteemed Judge Jonathan Luce from Coteau-du-lac, Quebec. Jonathan is an AAC World Team handler, Biathlon Judge and an all round nice guy, so we can expect some really great courses!

We couldn’t have asked for a nicer weekend for our Labour Day trial! Many thanks to all the handlers who came (several from quite a distance) to play in our field; we really appreciate you supporting our trials! And we extend our thanks to the wonderful volunteers who helped throughout the weekend (including those special Agility Support Spouses who cheerfully fill in spots so we can all have fun with our dogs)! 

Congratulations to everyone who came to the line and had a good time with your dogs! We saw some amazing runs and stunning skills in the ring. Lots of Qs were presented, and some major achievements made! This may be a banner year because I think we gave out more titling ribbons at this trial than any other:

We were also excited to present the Phoenix Award for the top Shetland Sheepdog to Dona Gould and Blaze (fourth year in a row!) And the Highest Scoring Dog of the trial was presented to Shannon Rhude and Coping (they had 9 Qs out of 10). 

Of course, none of this would’ve been possible without our wonderful judge Marian McCormack! She was so supportive of all her dogs and delighted in their successes! Thank you very much for creating a great agility environment. In fact, a few handlers were even creating raps and ballads with her jumpers courses 😆

We look forward to seeing all our agility friends next season! Enjoy the rest of your agility season!
