Waitlist for December! 🐺

We’ve had a few new pups sign up to get mutty this month, and it’ll take us some time to integrate them into our semi-private and group programs. 🍂

We may have a couple of Assessment Hikes available for the winter school break, and that’s a little ways away! If you’ve been considering our adventures for your dog - it’s best to reach out now to secure your spot. ❄️

💗 ROO IS ADOPTABLE 💗
Husky/Shepherd x | PURE JOY | goofball | ~50lbs

Roo (Roxanne on paper) arrived at a shelter alongside two male dogs, all emaciated and neglected. She has since been able to decompress in a foster home, learn that humans are kind, she will always have food and water, and the world is absolutely wonderful.

Despite all she’s been through, Roo has such enthusiasm for everything in life, and a spirit that lights up the room. Roo loves everyone and happy is her default! She is a medium-high energy dog who wants to adventure, play, cuddle, and be part of whatever her humans are doing. She’s nicknamed Roo because of her adorable, happy kangaroo-like bounces.

Little bonuses:
✓ Nondestructive when home alone
✓ Would thrive with another friendly, stable dog
✓ Older/dog-savvy kids
✓ No resource guarding observed
✓ Curious and hilarious
✓ Spayed, vaccinated, housetrained
✓ Embark’d (DNA + health testing)

“Flaws?” Well, we all have them. Roo is still learning how to regulate her emotions in the car and when there is food on the counter. She is also still learning how to express her excitement at the sight of strange dogs and cats, a little less obnoxiously. She’s making great progress and responds beautifully to a supportive, fear-free approach.

Roo thrives on choice, freedom to run, as well as affection and shared experiences. She’s funloving, goofy, bonds deeply, and wants nothing more than to be “doing life” with her humans. If your family is kind, active, laughs at the little things, and is ready to embrace a wonderful family dog who lives life to the fullest, Roo’s your girl!

Please share & help this beautiful soul find her home ❤️

Pearl 🌈🤍

Recently we lost one of the sweetest old souls to ever join our adventures.

Pearl was a senior rescue who was deeply loved by her family. Like many with difficult pasts, trust wasn’t something she gave away easily. It took many intro hikes before she decided I was safe, but once you earned that trust, you were rewarded with the gentlest, most beautiful companionship on the trail.

She loved the simple things. The excitement of a tasty treat. Waddling happily down the trail at her own peaceful pace. Sitting quietly to sniff the breeze, taking in the world one scent at a time.

Over time, Pearl was able to join longer hikes alongside her sister, and something that used to be very hard for her - even welcomed two male dogs into her little circle. Watching her world slowly become bigger was such a privilege.

Pearl reminded me that relationships take work, and progress doesn’t have to be loud or fast. Sometimes it’s found in quietly growing trust, and choosing to take just a few more steps and sniffs than yesterday.

Thank you, Pearl, for letting me be a small part of your journey. Explore free, sweet girl. May there always be gentle trails, endless treats, and a warm breeze carrying all the wonderful smells. ❤️
