Today, we come together to honor a significant milestone in our history. April 15, 1945, marks the liberation of Leeuwarden, Netherlands, a moment that forever changed the lives of countless individuals and communities. Today, we celebrate not only the bravery of those who served but also the strong ties that connect us all.
Many years ago, men from our very own town played a crucial role in this effort. Among them was Jill’s grandfather, Tom, who was part of the Cape Breton Highlanders and attached to the Royal Canadian Dragoons. This photo from 1945 shows him at the docks of Halifax, ready to leave his family behind to help others find freedom.
As we gather for this heartfelt commemoration, dignitaries will join us, and a public parade will take place, showcasing the pride and unity of our community.

After a few months of delays, Michele and Tina are excited to help you kick off spring with some new skills for both you and your pup! 🐶☀️ Shake off those winter blues and join us for four weeks of obedience training starting April 1st!
📅 Program Details:
✅ 4-week training program beginning April 1st
✅ Classes held once a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
✅ Puppy Obedience (under 6 months): 4:00 - 4:45 PM | $150
✅ Dog Obedience (6+ months): 5:00 - 6:00 PM | $175
