Her Majesty, The Queen❤️

The late queen, who was well-known for her soft spot for animals. She had a herd of 200 registered Jersey cows. The queens herd of jerseys is one of the oldest herds in the world, with records dating to 1871. The herd descends from the Pretty Polly line and was gifted to Queen Victoria as a present. The Royal Windsor Jersey herd is located east of Frogmore House and is constantly supporting the most modern dairy technology including robots and new barns in 2008. The herd regularly attended and won championships at the Royal Show in Warwickshire and the Queen was a loyal patron of The Jersey Cattle Society. The Queen was well versed in the bloodlines of her herd and was very proud of her cattle and the jersey breed . The world lost a great advocate for agriculture today.
