I have been sending out emails and text messages to reschedule clients on this extra snowy morning.

Trying to find the perfect balance of giving enough notice and not bothering people too early in the morning.

If we don't have your email on file, we do try to wait until a reasonable time to call. Check your junk folder if you're expecting an email.

What do you think, how early in the morning is too early to get a phone call?

Space available for 1 small/medium sized full grooming, OR 1 bath/brush long hair tidy (eg: Golden/Labrador Retriever, Border Collie, Corgi, etc)

Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday to you all!

We hope you have been having a wonderful winter break! We sure feel the need to slow down and recharge after the pre-Christmas rush.

Tincap will be closed until Saturday, December 27th, and closed on Thursday, January 1st.

Perth will be open on Monday, December 29th and Tuesday December 30th, but will be closed again after that until Saturday, January 3rd.

Thank you to everyone who booked in to see us all year, looking forward to seeing you, and any new clients joining us in 2026!!

**Reminder** Pre-booking your next appointment, or all of your 2026 appointments, is the *BEST* way to ensure you get the date/time you want. Yes, we *already* have clients booked for Christmas 2026!

Technology is an amazing thing... as long as it works!
CloudFlare had an outage that effected a lot of websites and apps... and we were one of them :(

We weren't able to access our calendars or client files for a few hours this morning. But, things appear to be back to fully working status

As always, everyone has been very understanding of the things outside of our control - you guys are awesome!

It has come to the time of the year when I start to work out the pre-booked appointments for the upcoming year.

Thank you to everyone who chooses to book for the year! It really helps if you have a set day and time that works for you *especially if you need Saturdays!

I need to know the following;
Day of the week preferred
Time of the day
How many weeks between appointments
and your email address if we don't have it on file

And I will reach out with the proposed schedule for any necessary fine tuning.

Why a wait list doesn't *always* work for us;

When we book up our days we have to allow different lengths of time for different breeds, cuts, bathing needs, drying, and space.
For those reasons a small dog needing to reschedule doesn't equal a large double coated dog being able to be booked in that newly open space. Or the other way around, a detailed breed clip won't fit into a bath and brush opening.

On the rare occasion that we have a No Show, that is after we have waited 15 minutes past their appointment for them to arrive, it is most likely we wouldn't be able to fit another grooming into that reduced time frame. That's the reason for the No Show fee.

That being said - we try our best to call people to fill in spots as they become available!

Please give us as much notice as you can for any changes in your appointment so that best plan our days.

We have one Saturday a month when we have Cat Grooming Appointments available in the PERTH location.

Openings as soon as June 14th!

Gail, who floats between the Tincap and Perth location, has picked a Saturday each month until the end of the year to be in Perth to groom not only cats, but also small dogs (under 30 pounds).

Isn't the weather "wonderful" ?

We have to make a decision early in the morning when the buses are canceled if it is safe for our groomers to venture into the shop or if it's better to stay home.

When we make that decision we start to reach out to the clients booked on that day. First by email, it is early morning after all. Then by phone call.

It happened today that one of the clients booked in for this afternoon is a new client - the number given isn't in service... with no other way of contacting them - I'm posting on here - if you have recently moved to the Perth area from Alberta and changed your phone number, we have tried to contact you about moving your appointment.. - Sorry we can't reach you!

Regular Clients - Do we have your email address on file? Is there another way you would like to be contacted?

We can check voicemail messages remotely, leave us a message, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
