On March 7th we welcomed our X litter. Pixie (Ch Mountmagic's Pixie Dust) gave birth to 3 males. One didn't make it but we have 2 thriving boys. Proud dad is Ville (Waldmeister van de Klaverhoeve) with Christina Reedy and Maria Verschueren

Mount Magic’s Vieraugler Vista

We lost a great Bernese Mountain dog yesterday. Vista was one of a kind, fiercely independent and at the same time deeply loyal. She would come and tell you when it was time for petting and hugging. And paw you to keep going until she deemed quality time to be over. Vista always managed to lay in the spot where we had to be….blocking drawers and doors in the kitchen is what she mastered to a tee.

Vista was also a terrific breeding dog. A true breeder's dream for fertility and natural whelping. We have so many unique Vista memories as a mom. Delivering a puppy while she was sound asleep is probably my favorite! One time she pushed so hard that a puppy banged against the side of the whelping box 2 feet further. She was a great mom but after 2 weeks in the whelping box she became the queen and only wanted to nurse them outside the box on a blanket.

After her retirement from breeding she was always incredibly interested in the puppies of her kids and grandkids. As if she was inspecting her offspring to live up to her standards. Vista’s pedigree goes right to the core of the Mount Magic line to the first pairing of Lotti and Colton.
She will be greatly missed in our household. But we feel comforted that she left so much of her in the next generations and that we’ll always see her in every Mount Magic Dog that came after her.

Bye Vista Dog, we’ll miss you forever.

Our W litter arrived! Ch Mountmagic's Pixie Dust 'Pixie' and Ch Mountmagic's Quest Continues are the parents of 3 girls and 1 boy (unfortunately we lost 2 girls). Mom and pups are doing well!

We have again a 10 year old in the house! Mount Magic's Vieraugler Vista 'Vista' turned 10 today! She is the mom, grandma, great grandma of many of our pups. Soon we will celebrate that she will be a great great grandma as well!
