I had a moment the other day while walking Ace, I actually felt guilty for training him šŸ˜³
He's always been amazing on the leash, never really pulled, listens to signals well, walks well beside you but for some reason he was walking at a faster pace than me and pulling and I was lightly correcting him.. I don't want any habits to start.
And I just felt bad for doing it, like I wasn't*allowing* him to be a dog and just walk.
It was a weird moment and gave me some insight on why some people may not train their dogs.

Kerry Blue Terrier
(Irish Blue Terrier)

Originating from the farms of south-western Ireland.
It's make-up may include Irish Wolfhound, Bedlington Terrier, Dandie Dinmont Terrier and Irish Terrier. Their breed had essentially established themselves in 1588 and by the 1800's was used by farmers for fighting, hunting, ratting, guarding herds and churning butter.
During the late 1880s the breed was well established under different names with its present name being chosen in the 1920s.
1922 the breed was internationally recognized, and officially recognized by the AKC (American Kennel Club) in 1924.

Today they are a great family companion, adaptable, watch dog, with a lovely silky coat and weighing only 33-40 lbs.

The best part about adopting a dog is all the fun things I can train him šŸ˜‚ he knows sit, lay down, spin in both directions, paw and starting to learn "sit pretty"
Feels like it's not much for almost a year of having him buuut we are just over coming avoiding every command! He's actually having fun and showing more interest in learning ā™„ļø

If you ever want to skip the traditional dog training, I am your girl!

I get overwhelmed at the thought of doing a basic obedience class, or limiting myself to just foundations, some dogs really need a little bit of everything, so, let's mix it all together.

Not everyone needs the perfect obedience, but would love to have some good bonding time, a dog that just listens to the basics and has manners around the house. Thats what Iā€™m all about, I want to have fun and teach dogs some cool stuff.

I love mixing obedience and tricks to make a more fun, rewarding experience.

I am working on my method, training plans, and more information so I can offer it as soon as I can.

We come across them by adoption, our friend had one that they really liked or we grew up with a certain breed.
I grew up with Border Collies, we had a few while growing up, so of course they have a special spot in my heart. One day I would love to own one of my own, but I have to wait until we are in the right spot in life to own one.

Also sorry for any and all delays, my daughter, who seems to love dogs as much as I do (so far) likes to keep be very busy.

What did I do to prepare our dogs for the arrival of my baby?

I didn't make a big deal out of it.
I let them investigate her things when I brought them home from the baby shower, I stopped having a consistent routine for them, because babies are unpredictable, they wont be fed at 7 am every single day, I just fed them at odd times, and got really firm on boundaries.
