We’re in urgent need of more foster homes for cats and kittens. Some are recovering from surgery, while others just need a quiet, enclosed space and a compassionate person to help them feel safe. We provide all vet care, food, and supplies. You just provide time, love, and a secure room separate from household pets.
Whether it’s a short-term stay for a litter of kittens, or a long haul helping an adult decompress from shelter life..you are the bridge between rescue and forever.
While we prioritize fosters in the Parksville and surrounding area due to our service zone, supply pickups, and veterinary partner, we also welcome foster homes across the Central Island, especially those who don’t mind the occasional drive. That said, we care deeply about the wellbeing of our volunteers and want fostering to be a positive, rewarding experience, not a source of stress 🙅🏽♀️Yes, challenges can arise, especially if a cat becomes ill or needs extra care...but that’s the reality of rescue, and you won’t face it alone. We’re here to support you every step of the way. If transportation or distance already feels overwhelming, we kindly suggest exploring other meaningful roles within our rescue that may be a better fit or to simply share our post to reach more potential fosters. As our volunteer base grows, including transport support, so will our ability to expand and meet more diverse needs.
