We have some exciting news to start our day with, our CEO Terry Hussey was named, for a second year in a row, an Atlantic Business Magazine Top 50 CEO! Terry sits in the company of many accomplished CEOs of Atlantic Canada who have won this award past and present. The team here at Vigilant is feeling both humbled and honoured today to have our CEO receive such a prestigious award. Join us in congratulating him if you see him about town!

We had an excellent day today remembering Wayne Squires and tossing a few horseshoes with friends, family, and colleagues in his honour. Special thanks to Alma Hussey Betty Sharpe and Denise Walsh who worked really hard to setup a beautiful garden arena and fill all of our tummies with very delicious food :) Thanks to all who attended and made this day such a success!

We're thrilled to be wishing our own John Oliveira a Happy 1st Year Anniversary with us today! We can't believe his first year with us has gone by so quickly and so filled with memories. John recently organized a blood drive for our team, he's about to participate in his second Exile Island, he loves playing a round or two of video games with some of the others in our office at lunchtime to unwind, and even though he's from Brazil he loves a good meal at Chafe's Landing in Petty Harbour. If you see John today wish him a great year anniversary. John, we're so happy to have you on team Vigilant!

We're thrilled to announce our CEO Terry Hussey has just been named one of Atlantic Business Magazine's Top 50 CEOs for 2016! Over the weekend he flew to Moncton to accept the award and later gracefully noted that none of his achievements would be possible without the support and hard work of everyone on team Vigilant Management! Way to go Terry! We're so proud of you!

It's almost Mother's Day and what better surprise for that special Mom or person in your life than a set of 3 designer purses! We're selling tickets for a lot containing 2 Coach, and 1 Michael Kors purses as a fundraiser for Viglant's Children's Wish Foundation Exile Island team. Tickets are $5.00 each. The draw is taking place on May 8th, 2016 at the St. John's Children's Wish office, and the lot of purses are valued at a total of $499.00 WOW! We put off a big concert and silent auction at West Side Charlie's in Paradise with music provided by Mark Manning. It was such a fun time and we hit our goal of raising $10,000 for the Exile Island Challenge for the Children's Wish Foundation and are sending young Kaden to Disney! We hope he has a great time.
