Boone is a happy boy to have a friend
Kicker... He's still absolutely pi**ed off at me that he's not with the girls!

Boone has been easier to catch, letting me approach him with only a little hesitation. So he got to go in the field out of the round pen. Movement and sight seeing so going to do him good!

Get your left and rights equal

This means when you approach and haltering too.

Boone really hasn't wanted me on his right side, blocking me with his head and even swinging his butt away to not let me over there.
We best fix that and get him comfortable before we move along!

One sided horses are not allowed, that's not balanced.

Shout to JS Performance Horses

I have been searching for this specific material of a halter for a long time without luck in Canada until now!
There are different grades of marine rope but they choose the highest quality AND they bring in the best colors!

The fit?
Solaras head is a strange shape for halters, this is the first one that actually fits her well!
Bella's big head(not pictured), is not a problem either for their large size.

The price?
You cannot beat it for the quality of material they use!

Customer service?
Friendly, easy to purchase from, may encourage you to buy all the colors and more horses 😆

Do you have a piece of equipment that you sacrifice?

Mine is this saddle blanket!
It spent many years showing with me until it started to become worn and faded so I retired it.
Now I use it to throw on a horse, let it fall off, walk over it without worry if it gets wrecked in the process.

Massive releases today with Boone

In a perfect world he wouldn't have been that tight and tense that he needed to have such a huge release session.

Unfortunately before he fell into the right hands he had a bad start done to him and now we're undoing all that.

Breaking down his layers one day at a time. I do think we got through a couple today!
He's less resistant to me being around him after this session.
That's progress I'm happy with any day!

Meet Boone

The cutie taking over my round pen right now!
He will be introduced to the herd when he's more comfortable with me which will help him mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Today was mostly a hangout day, checking his bubble and how he feels and reacts when I push on it, and can I enter it without his emotions spiking.

When I say this boy has a lot of layers to unwrap I'm talking thousands; Today we unwrapped one.
