UPDATE : We are no longer able to take on any new larger breeds. and obtained Certificates in Animal Sciences and Animal First Aid.

We will continue to groom our existing larger clients and we can take on a select number of new smaller dogs clients. 519-372-2764 Lori has been in the animal industry for over 25 years, grooming for over 20 of those years and working in veterinary clinics throughout her career. She started in a small clinic working part time as a receptionist/technician. With the arrival of her children, she deci

ded to pursue a profession she could excel at and also be home for her kids and ultimately decided on grooming. She obtained her diploma with highest honors at the JKL Academy of Professional Dog Grooming in B.C. Grooming proved to be very rewarding and fulfilling for Lori and she opened Pampered Pets Spa in Collingwood, ON and eventually built the business to accommodate over 800 customers. She was also given the 2006 Readers Choice Award for favorite pet groomer for the Georgian Triangle Area. In 2008, she and her family moved to Owen Sound where she took a hiatus from grooming and worked at Gardels pet store where she became comfortable with the community and ultimately decided to return to her passion and work more one on one with dogs again and open up her grooming studio once again. She is very excited to be able to be close to the animals again and to do what she does best, making your furry, family members clean and gorgeous during their spa day.

Well we are on the edge of our wonderful spring and heading into summer. Unfortunately, I have not been well for the past 2 weeks, many tests done, migraines, and muscular issues. I was considering semi-retiring this summer anyway but my guess is the universe is making the decision for me earlier. As of July 1st , I will be working 2 dys a week , I have another groomer, Melanie, who will be helping and working maybe 1 day a week or more. Melanie apprenticed with me last year so knows our customers. Jessica has moved to a new house and will be starting to groom out of her house , only small dogs, in the fall. I have many grooms to get caught up on so I have fingers crossed I am able to do that next week. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to message me.( If things are better tomorrow and I'm not in bed, than I will be spending the day rescheduling )

Well finally it looks like we are moving towards warmer weather and spring. We probably have a couple more blasts before that, so that being said with the weather warming, the fleas and ticks awaken. Fleas need a temperature of at least 65 degress for eggs to hatch and like last year, this next week is promising beautiful weather. It is important for owners to protect their pets with preventive flea and tick treatment preferrably from a veterinarian. Now is the time to do it, not when an infestation appears. It is incredibly difficult to eradicate a flea problem once it has taken hold. It is very inconvenient and expensive, probably more than the preventative treatment itself. We , at the salon, do not accept pets with a flea issue. If we proceed with the groom and notice fleas , you will be called to come pick up your pet and get treatment before they can return. This is for many reasons: infesting other pets in our care, us bringing fleas or flea eggs into our own home, as well if your pet has fleas, it most likely has tapeworms, so they should also be dewormed. Last year there were many pets that came in where the weather turned warmer earlier and people never thougt that fleas would infest that quickly. Our staff all have their pets on preventative treatment and it would be fair to ask that of your pets as well. Fingers crossed for an early flea free spring 🙂

Hoping everyone had a safe and wonderful Christmas with family and friends. We had a very busy season and Christmas came very quick. We are taking some downtime with family and friends and look forward to seeing everyone in the New Year..We are closed until Dec 28 and back for 2 dys ( Dec 29 and 30) , closed again until Jan 6/2026. Just a few visitors we had during the Christmas season.

Another quick post regarding our Christmas appointments. We are currently booked up for our Christmas but, given the unpredictability of our winter weather, we have saved a few options open if there is a snow day called. If you can not make it in for weather conditions, just let us know , no worries and we can arrange for an alternate time before the holidays.

Well here we are in the beginning of our winiter and Christmas is closing in. Just a reminder if you would like an appointment for your pup before the holidays , it is best to contact now as we only have a few spots left. Our last day to work will be Dec 20/25 and we will be back Dec 29 & 30., closed for Dec 31 , Jan 1-5th/2026. Have a great weekend everyone !🎄

Good morning, it's been awhile since I have posted. Summer seemed to fly by too fast. We are now into the fall weather and we will be starting to book for holiday season, Thanksgiving and Christmas. There have been a few groomers that have either moved from the area or have retired. This brings about an influx of calls for requests of grooming. We can no longer take on any new larger breeds but can take on some new smaller clients. I can advise that getting in touch with us is easier through facebook messaging or email- [email protected], text 226-668-5629 or call 519-372-2764 and leave a message. I don't answer the phone during working hours as it distracts from our grooming and attention to the pup on the table or in the tub. I return phone calls at the end of the day or the next morning. Good sunny Sat. morning...it is so good to see and feel the sun. We are approaching our Easter holiday soon and we will be closed Good Friday, Apr.18,19,20 and 21st. We want to wish everyone a Happy Easter weekend. We will, after the holiday, be offering spring and summer desheds on Mondays ( 50-60 lb weight limit ), so get in touch with us to book your spring clean up....here are some Easter puppies all cleaned up for the Easter bunny...😊

Happy Family Day and Snow Day ! Another one...and probably tomorrow as well. We certainly have had our fair share of winter this year. Hopefully everyone is snug as a bug in your house with family. We are watching the weather closely and we intend to be open tomorrow but only if weather allows it. I will notify in the morning. Please be safe and try to stay off the roads..!
