Hi, I’m Debora Martins — an independent, certified groomer with over five years of experience and a lifelong love for animals (especially dogs!). 🐾
My passion started as a kid on the coast of Brazil, where I’d round up local street dogs, sneak out leftovers to them, and force my family members to indulge in my quest to feed, bathe, and pull every tick off of any dog or cat I came across. After ea
rning my degree from Carleton University in 2020, I felt burnt out and unsure of my next steps. I began working as a groomer’s assistant just to stay busy — but instead, I fell completely in love with grooming and never looked back. ✂️
I pride myself on my aesthetic versatility and a calm, patient approach to every pet. Whether I’m working with anxiety, reactivity, or special needs, I take the time to earn their trust and make the experience as comfortable and positive as possible. Everyone deserves to feel safe, understood, and loved. 💛
I offer calm, one-on-one dog grooming in a private home setting, ideal for dogs who do better without busy salon environments. I specialize in Poodles (but am experienced in all breeds), and focus on comfort and realistic coat care. Each appointment is un-rushed and tailored to the individual dog, designed to reduce the stress that comes with busy salon environments. My grooming style prioritizes the dog’s emotional well-being while still delivering a clean, polished finish. Pricing is based on size, coat condition, behavior, and time required, allowing each dog to receive the care they actually need. This setup is especially well-suited for anxious or reactive dogs, but is beneficial for every kind of pup. One-on-one grooming removes many of these stressors- constant noise, crowds of unfamiliar dogs and people, rushed handling, crating- by creating a calm, predictable experience with a single groomer from start to finish. Appointments are un-rushed, dogs aren’t crated alongside others, and the groom is completed in one focused session. This allows dogs to remain more relaxed, tolerate handling better, and leave the groom less mentally and physically drained — regardless of temperament
