We specialize in effective; reward based, good-manners training for your family pet. Our services include Group Classes, Semi Private and Private sessions for your dog from Puppy through to Advanced Levels. We run a variety of sport classes and classes for dogs who struggle with the environment and are reactive to it.

Here is what you can expect from our Good Manners classes!

Level I - Learn the fundamentals for good manners and obedience in an effective friendly manner. Work on the management of your dog's behaviour, elimination of unwanted behaviour and focus on your dog learning and building the desired behaviour.

Obedience and Life Skills include include sit, down, stand, come when called, leave it, stay, polite greetings, loose leash walking, and attention to the handler .

Level II - Skills initiated in Good Manners I are extended with greater distractions and additional skills are introduced for appropriate handling and behaviour in public.

Dogs in this class will work on
- accepting a friend or stranger approaching
- sitting patiently
- walking on a loose leash in busier contexts
- accepting a stranger
- walking by other dogs
- behaving calmly around other dogs,
- working around distractions,
- remaining calm when left in supervised isolation for short periods of time.

Looking to help your dog feel safe and calm in the presence of other dogs or humans?

Our Nosey to Neutral classes incorporate the use of exercises and patterns of behaviour that help dogs to cope better within shifting environments. Exercises are drawn from the great work by Dr. Karen Overall and Leslie McDevitt that focus on calm and comfort in an environment and biofeedback exercises.

Beat the cold weather and come inside with us to try some dog sports!

Our “Try It” class is made for those who aren’t sure which dog sports and activities are all about or which ones your dog may best enjoy.

Each week you will get a brief introduction to some of the dog activities that are available.

The class runs as an open enrolment so you can start when you can and in the 4 weeks you will see a little bit of each activity!

During this 8 week class our knowledgeable trainers will coach you through the exercises and guide you along each step of the way. We will be working to modify your dog’s emotional reaction to their triggers and to replace unwanted behaviours with choices that are more appropriate and desirable.
