Meet Tula – Our Wiggly Warrior Princess

This sweet 9 month old pup may be tiny, but her heart is mighty. Tula survived being hit by a car while wandering alone on the streets, her spine fractured but not her spirit. After emergency surgery and weeks of healing, she’s now full of love, playful energy, and an unforgettable wiggle when she walks.

Despite a painful past, Tula greets each day with hope in her eyes and a tail that never stops wagging. She adores gentle dogs of all sizes and melts at the sight of kindness. She’s fully crate trained, house trained, and makes a wonderful companion.

Her perfect forever home? Someone patient, loving, and gentle—ready to help her feel safe and blossom at her own pace. She’s still shy around strangers, but her trust grows with time and care. No cats, please (she loves the chase!) and because of her puppy exuberance and injury history, a home with older, respectful children would be best. A home with a fenced in yard would be just what she needs, no apartments or condos.

Tula’s been through a lot, but she’s ready for her happiest chapter yet. Could you be the one to write it with her? If so, please email [email protected] so we can send you an adoption application as our website is being reconstructed.

All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety.

NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed.

Looking for a calm, affectionate, and low-maintenance companion to share your life (and your couch) with? Leo might be your perfect match. This handsome, gentle should is a model housemate.

Leo starts each day with an adorable stretch, followed by a happy little dance when he sees his leash. He enjoys several short walks throughout the day, taking his time to stop and smell the roses - no tugging just a mellow stroll. Afterward, he’s all about lounging on his bed, the couch or better yet, right next to you. He’s a patient, slow eater (soft food is his favourite), and while his teeth are a little worn down, it doesn’t slow him down from enjoying mealtime.

Leo is incredible gentle with children, and is calm and polite around cats. He’s a bit timid around other dogs right now, so he may be best as an only dog where he can get a lot of attention. 🔥🐾 Too Hot to Walk Your Dog? Think Again! 🐶☀️

Keep your four-legged friend safe this summer by knowing when it’s too hot for walkies! 🥵🐕

🌡️ 20–24°C
⚠️ Be cautious! Keep walks short, stick to shady spots 🌳, and make sure your pup stays well hydrated 💧.

🌡️ 25–29°C
❗ Risky temperatures! Only venture out for a quick stroll in the shade—only if absolutely necessary! 🐾

🌡️30°C+
🚫 Far too hot for walkies! Stay indoors or let your dog relax in a cool, shaded area 🛋️🌬️.

📌 Important to remember:

🔹 Pavement test! If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws. Tarmac can reach 51°C even when it’s just 21–26°C outside! 🥵🔥
🔹 Humidity counts! High humidity can make the heat feel even worse 🌫️
🔹 Breed & health: Puppies, older dogs, short-nosed breeds (like Pugs & Bulldogs), and dogs with health issues are at higher risk 🐕❤️

Let’s keep tails wagging safely this summer! 🐾💛

Location: Ottawa, ON
Adoption fee: COMPASSIONATE ADOPTION
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Leash trained: great walker until she sees a squirrel.
House trained: Yes
Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes, dogs, no cats, great with children of all ages
Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped,
4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Positive for Ehrlichia and Anaplasma (tick borne diseases) she has been given all vetting including the proper protocol of 30 days of doxycycline. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving.
Medical Issues: Tumours on her belly. They should not be touched.

We are looking for adopters who will understand her health concerns. Hera has some growths on her belly. After taking her to the vet, we were advised against biopsy and removal since they can spread. She is a happy healthy girl and we would like her to stay that way for as long as we can so decided not to touch them. Hera just needs a loving home for however long she blesses us with her presence on this earth.

A lot sweet with a dash of salty.

Hera is just that. Most of the time, this lovely lady is super sweet, gentle, soft, and snuggly. She happily follows you, looking for a pat or cuddle. She loves being around her human and dog friends, and she is good with children of all ages.. no care in the world... until… Hera loves a good chase, so we advise against cats, squirrels, birds, rabbits, ducks, or any creature that smells wild and acts the same. Now she corrects well, you give her a good firm no, and she will stop the chase, but the excitement for her just gets her going.

Her ideal home would be one with a fenced in backyard where she loves a good sniff out before her morning p*e, and if she had a dog friend, her zoomies and play romps are a fun thing to watch. She would be fine in an apartment or condo if she is walked regularly. She definitely needs a strong adopter who is willing to correct her when required. Hera wouldn't mind another dog friend, since she plays well with them. She shares and gets along well with every member of her new foster home, and all she has met so far when out and about. Hera is clean in the house and is good in her crate.. and we feel if there were no cats in the home she wouldn't even need a crate. Hera walks well on the leash, travels excellent, and would make a fantastic friend and low-key partner in crime.

Hera really does have a beautiful personality and is an overall well-rounded gal who just needs some leadership and direction sometimes.

Age: 5 years
Breed: Mexi-Mix

Adoption fee: $600.00
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Leash trained: Pulls slightly, but good on leash

4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving.

Nikki is a major snuggle bug. Once he connects to you, he will be yours forever. Gone will be the days of being totally alone because he will be right by your side all day if you choose. He just loves to hang out and cuddle up by your side on the couch or anywhere you are.

Nikki gets so excited after a good night sleep that he can’t quite contain himself as he looks forward to the rest of the day. You see, Nikki has lived on the streets for quite some time where we believe some abuse occurred so we can understand why he is so cautious of humans and everyone around him. He is being fostered with other dogs and is fine with them but we feel he would be best as an only dog so he can get all the attention that he deserves. No cats for Nikki as he does like to chase them.

Nikki’s ideal home would be a quiet home, one with one or two people who are willing to gain his trust and be patient with him. He needs time to connect with people. Due to this we recommend no children since their energy may be detrimental for him. If you wish to have people over frequently he is not the dog for you as he really seems to connect with one or two people. A home with a fenced in back yard would be best and no condo/apartment as he needs to do his business frequently and needs time to do it. Nikki is crate trained and can sleep a good 8 hours in there. It is a great safe place for him as well,

If you feel you would be the right fit for Nikki, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/

Bonnie has had a difficult life, she was left, abandoned, tied to a pole by her owner, pregnant and alone in Mexico. Bonnie was terrified and wouldn’t let anyone near her but a kind neighbour detached her chain and let her go, however Bonnie kept coming back to the same place, waiting for her owner The rest of the neighbourhood were annoyed by her and began throwing stones at her and beating her. Our sister rescue SOS el Arca had a difficult time catching her but they did and she had 9 puppies, all of whom are now adopted.

Bonnie is a very sweet and beautiful dog who loves to cuddle and who has so much love to give. Once she warms up, she is yours forever. She is a shy little girl who will need time to decompress but with time, patience and love Bonnie will be your cherished companion.

Bonnie requires a calm environment with someone who has experience with shy dogs and one who will have the patience to go slow with her. A home with a fenced in yard for security is important. Another dog in the home is important for her since it gives her some security and confidence. Teenage children only for Bonnie since small children can make her nervous, since she does have some prey drive no cats for her.

She loves being outside and running around with her fur siblings, a boy and a girl and she lives romping in the snow. She is always ready for a walk and to go and explore the hood. Although she is cautious and shy of new people we believe, since she is food driven, treats will help her in this matter.

If you feel you would be the right fit for Bonnie, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/

These All Paws Matter dogs crossed the rainbow bridge in 2024. They were loved and cherished by their families and we are so grateful that they lived the lives they had never known before.

"So, though I give you all my heart,
The time will come when we must part. But all around you, you will see,
creatures that speak to you of me;
A tired horse, a hunted thing, a sparrow with a broken wing.
Pity - and help (I know you will) and somehow, I will be with you still;
And I shall know, although I'm gone,
The love I gave you lingers on."

Beautiful Hera is available for adoption and is being fostered in the Brampton On Area.

PLEASE READ HERA’S BIO IN DETAIL TO ENSURE THAT SHE WILL BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFESTYLE BEORE APPLYING. PEASE NOTE: HERA IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE BRAMPTON, ON AREA

We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption.

NAME: Hera
Age: 7 years
Breed: Mexi-Mix
S*x: Female
Weight: Approx 40 lbs
Location: BRAMPTON, ON
Adoption fee: $600.00
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Leash trained: Work in progress
House trained: Yes
Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes -, dogs, cats - no, children 10+

Hera is an absolutely wonderful dog. She has superior manners, she is calm and gentle, and always seems to have a wagging tail and a little pep in her step. She takes food/treats very gently, and is very clean. She has no resource guarding issues with food or toys. She is able to get along with everyone she meets (adults, children and other dogs). She knows how to ask for affection in the sweetest way, by bowing her head to you and resting it on your lap. Hera is the kind of dog who will transition into her forever home very smoothly. She is a ray of sunshine and is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside!

She will require training on her walks as she is a does pull and is “a little all over the place” but she is calm and easy going and always content. She wants to be around her people, but is very respectful of their space. She asks for affection politely and gently. She is crate trained, however, it is not necessary as she is not destructive and in the least.

Hera gets very excited when she sees her loves because she loves her walks and she does have some prey drive (to squirrels only) and always has her nose to the ground! She is very content just being around her family and looking out the window all day. Hera is fully house trained and is great with other dogs.

Her ideal home would be one with a fully fenced yard as she loves to investigate all that is around her. No apartments or condos for Hera as she can be vocal. She is great with children and loves them but because of her size children 10+ would be best.

If you feel you would be the right fit for Hera, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/
