šŸ’œ Compassionate Adoption Needed for Our Sweet Nerena šŸ’œ

We’ve done everything we can for our beautiful Nerena… and our hearts break knowing she still hasn’t found the forever home she so deeply deserves. Today, we are posting her as a compassionate adoption, hoping someone will see the incredible soul we see every day.

Nerena is a senior girl, about 8–9 years young, with a gentle spirit, plenty of s***k, and the happiest little snowy face. She still loves her walks, still enjoys playtime, and still finds joy in the simple things.

Her medical diagnosis is still uncertain, narrowed down to Evans Syndrome (an autoimmune disorder) and/or IMHA (Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia). She loses small tufts of hair and may develop lesions, and she is currently on prednisone to help keep her comfortable.

We have spent thousands on Nerena’s care, and we know she can live out her days happily with the right compassionate companion—someone who can offer patience, stability, and unconditional love.

For Nerena, we are looking for: ✨ A fenced yard
✨ A home where she can be the only dog, so she can receive all the attention she deserves
✨ No cats and no children, please
✨ Nerena may take a little longer to warm up to men and to new people visiting the home, but with time and gentle reassurance, her sweet nature shines through

Nerena didn’t ask for this life, but she is still so full of love to give. She deserves a calm, understanding home where she can feel safe, cherished, and finally at peace.

šŸ™ Please help us help her.
Share her story. Share her journey. Help us find Nerena the compassionate home she has been waiting for.

šŸ’œ If you feel called to open your heart to Nerena, please reach out. šŸ’œ

Meet Duke!
(Brother of our sweet pup Drupi!)

Duke may start off a little nervous when meeting new people, but give him a moment to feel safe and you’ll discover the sweetest, smartest boy. Once he trusts you, he lights up and loves to show off the tricks he’s been working on — he’s already mastered sit, lay down, and shake paw! Duke LOVES learning and picks up new things quickly once he’s comfortable.

Loud noises and busy environments can spook him, but with gentle guidance and calm reassurance, he’s improving every day. The more he explores, the more confidence he builds! Patience and love is a must for this boy.

Duke’s on the low end of high energy — he celebrates every success with joy, but once he’s had the right amount of exercise and brain games, he can happily chill out and relax. A family who would take him soon adventures and have plenty of time for walks would be ideal for this good boy.

Duke’s ideal home would be one with a fenced in yard where he could run and play. No condos or Apartments for him. He is great with dogs but we believe children 8+ would be best as his sweet but nervous puppy energy needs gentle handling. Duke is fully house and crate trained and he does need to be crated when left alone — he’s a little mischievous if given free roam, but he’s perfectly content in his crate. He is a good traveller once he gets into the car and settles.

Duke is sensitive, smart, and full of love — he just needs the right family to help him continue growing into the confident, amazing dog he’s meant to be.

If you feel you would be the right fit forDuke, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/

Meet Barbie

Barbie is a truly gentle soul—about as sweet as they come. This lovely young lady may be a bit of a nervous nelly at first and can be cautious when meeting new people, but give her a little time and patience and she absolutely blossoms. Once she feels safe, her sweet, silly, and playful personality shines through and steals your heart.

Barbie has made wonderful progress with her foster family, gaining confidence as she makes new friends and experiences new environments. She’s looking for a calm, understanding home that will gently guide and encourage her, helping her work through her nerves at her own pace. Barbie does best with someone who will support her emotionally and help her build positive experiences, rather than removing her from situations too quickly.

She is extremely well-behaved and already checks so many boxes: fully house trained, crate trained, and currently working on her obedience skills. Barbie loves other dogs and thrives in their company—she even enjoys attending doggy daycare with her foster mom! She has a playful side, enjoys her toys, and is very treat-motivated, which makes continued training fun and rewarding.

Barbie also enjoys staying active. She loves to run and go for walks, and while she may need a moment to take in her surroundings, gentle encouragement helps her move forward confidently. With patience and consistency, she does beautifully.

If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will form a deep bond and reward your love with endless affection, Barbie may be the perfect match for you. She’s ready for her forever home—maybe it’s with you?

If you feel you would be the right fit for Barbie, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/

Meet Shana – Our Brave Little Tripod Princess

Shana is a young, spirited girl who hasn’t let the loss of her front leg slow her down. She’s incredibly brave, active, and an absolute delight to be around. She hops confidently on her back legs, loves to play, adores her toys, and is happy to share her love with people and animals alike.

Shana has her preferences—she enjoys eating and sleeping on her own, and she takes things slowly in wet or snowy weather to avoid slipping. She’s not the biggest fan of being outdoors in bad weather, but who can blame her?

She is fully housetrained and crate trained. When left alone, Shana should be kept in her crate for her safety and comfort, and she happily uses it for the occasional cozy nap too.

Shana’s leash skills are still a work in progress. She doesn’t love having the leash put on but is fine once it’s clipped. She does pull, but with gentle reminders and clear direction, she responds well.

She’s great with other animals: Ignores indoor birds. Doesn’t chase chickens, goats, or pigs. Loves other dogs, though she may need a few minutes to warm up Likes cats, though she will join in if they initiate a chase game

With people, she may bark at strangers at first, but she settles quickly once she knows them. She’s also very good in the car. Shana can thrive in a house or an apartment. Stairs are manageable but she takes them slowly.

Above all, Shana is a fun-loving, joyful, and sweet girl with the most beautiful, soulful eyes. She just wants to play, be loved, and enjoy life—with plenty of toys and bones to keep her happy.

Shana is ready for her forever home, where she’ll be cherished for the brave, bright, big-hearted girl she is.

? Justin: The One-Eyed Wonder with a Heart of Gold ?
Meet Justin, a truly special boy whose past has shaped him into the incredibly loving, gentle soul he is today. Justin’s life hasn’t been without hardship—after being hit by a motorcycle, he faced a tough recovery that resulted in the loss of one eye. But this resilient sweetheart didn’t let hardship dim his spirit. Instead, he blossomed into a confident, affectionate, and uniquely beautiful dog who wins hearts everywhere he goes.
Justin may see the world with one eye, but he navigates it with confidence, curiosity, and endless love. His adorable looks and calm presence make him unforgettable, and his personality shines brighter than ever.
Justin is the perfect balance of calm and playful. He adores his people and loves nothing more than curling up beside them for Netflix nights, cuddle sessions, and quiet companionship. He’s affectionate, gentle, and happiest when he’s close to his humans. He is great with klids, dogs and cats. He walks nicely on a leash, though he can get a bit excited at times—nothing a little consistency can’t help. His energy level is wonderfully balanced: he enjoys his walks, but he’s also content to relax and be a snuggle buddy.
Justin is adaptable and would thrive in either an apartment or a house. He has been fully clean in his foster home with zero accidents, proving he’s a tidy and well-mannered guy.
Justin’s resilience is matched only by his enormous heart. After surviving so much, he’s more than ready to put his past behind him and begin a new chapter in a loving, secure home. He has so much love to give—and he truly deserves the very best.
Adopting Justin means opening your home to a devoted, sweet, and wonderfully unique companion who will bring joy, comfort, and loyalty into your life every single day. He’s ready for his forever family—could it be you? If so, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/

ADOPTED!

🐾 Meet Maya! 6 months young and full of fun! 🐾

Hi everyone, I’m Maya — a happy, playful pup who’s ready to find my very own family!

I was found on the street with my brothers and a few grown-up ladies (no one’s quite sure who my mama is, but that’s okay — we were one big family anyway!). We were just trying to find some food, but people didn’t want us around. Luckily, a kind volunteer rescued us and brought us to the shelter.

Now it’s my turn to find a forever home! šŸ’•

I love to play with other dogs and have a blast running around the playground. I’ve got a lot to learn, but I’m smart, curious, and so ready to explore the world with my new family. Im house trained and crate.

The shelter is very busy and noisy, and I dream of a cozy home where I can cuddle, learn, and grow up surrounded by love. šŸ’–

I’ll be medium-sized when fully grown — around 50 cm tall — the perfect size for adventures and snuggles!

Are you ready to meet your new best friend? That’s me — Maya! 🐶✨

Interested in fostering or adopting Maya, please fill out an application at www.allpawsmatter.ca

Meet Drupi! 🐾

Drupi is a 7-month-old, 30-pound bundle of energy who’s always ready for adventure! He loves to run, play, and after a full day of fun, he’s happiest snuggling up for some quiet cuddle time.

This sweet boy is house trained and crate trained, and while he’s doing great with his manners, he’ll need continued training as all puppies do. Drupi gets along wonderfully with dogs, but his comfort with cats is still unknown. Since he is just a puppy only respectful children, who are comfortable with energetic dogs

Because of his high energy, Drupi needs a home with a fully fenced yard where he can safely burn off steam—no condos or apartments for this athlete! He can be a bit timid around new people at first, but once he feels safe and bonds with you, his loving and playful personality shines through.

Drupi would thrive with someone who enjoys the outdoors—maybe a jogger, hiker, or anyone who loves an active lifestyle. If you’re looking for a loyal adventure buddy with plenty of love to give, Drupi is your guy!

🌟 Meet Ghost – The Dog Who Survived the Unthinkable 🌟

Ghost’s story is not an easy one to tell. In Mexico, he suffered cruelty no animal should ever endure—he was beaten with a shovel by a vicious couple, left broken in body and spirit. On top of that, he was diagnosed with double hip dysplasia. But somehow… this boy never gave up. He held onto hope, and he held onto love.

Ghost is a beautiful, gentle soul with a big personality. He’s a bit of a chatterbox so he’ll happily let you know when it’s mealtime! He walks wonderfully on leash and absolutely loves to swim, which is one of his favourite ways to enjoy the outdoors.

Ghost thrives on a strict routine. Regular bathroom breaks and a structured schedule help him feel secure and prevent any accidents. He does have some anxiety, so he’ll do best in a calm home where someone is around often to give him the reassurance he needs.

Ghost’s ideal home would be one with a fenced in backyard. He gets along well with both dogs and cats, but he isn’t suited to households with children or loud, unpredictable environments. Ghost is also managing hip dysplasia very wel but he’ll need an adopter committed to supporting his ongoing care and comfort.

If you can offer Ghost the patient, steady, and loving home he deserves, he’ll reward you with loyalty, companionship, and plenty of heart.

If you feel you would be the right fit for Ghost, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/
