Little miss Butterscotch is as cute as they come. She is so incredibly sweet and gentle ♥️

Meet Pretzel! He came to the OHS after being found lost and alone outdoors and in need of help.

Pretzel was not able to place his paw, as his leg was stuck in a flexed position at the elbow. We’re not too sure what caused this, but he was unable to move the joint as he regularly should.

To make sure Pretzel could live his best, pain-free life, our veterinarians removed the affected leg.

We are happy to report that Pretzel has recovered very well and recently found his forever home!

📰 Newsflash:
It has been another busy weekend of new arrivals here at Furry Tales Cat Rescue.

1) Grenada comes to us from a farm in Smiths Falls. We are trying to locate the rest of her family. An indoor life with proper vetting, spay and a warm cozy bed are now in her future.

2) we were alerted to a large group of cats located in Mont-Laurier who were living in less-than-ideal circumstances. The first four have arrived into our care. There are two Tabbies who are both pregnant 😳, an Orange and White cat and a small Greg and white kitten who is in rather rough shape. Thank you to Guylaine and Liane, for transporting them to Smiths Falls.

3) Pickles landed last night on his flight ✈️from Iqaluit. He was a great traveller 🧳. Welcome to this cutie.

Our mandate is to always help those most urgently in need. We are not governed by municipal pound contracts nor do we receive any government funding. Our mission is to save as many as we can, those who have run out of options, those who are on euthanasia lists, or those who may live in places without access to proper care.

We can’t save every cat but we have saved nearly 9000. Follow us, support us, donate, foster, volunteer, adopt don’t shop!

Our two male piggies are officially available for adoption!!

A few words from their foster:

Skittles has black and tan fur and Cookie has tan and white fur.
both Guinea pigs are very social and curious. They enjoy being held and spending time in their pigaloos. Skittles is often seen roaming while cookie can be a bit more shy. They both love fresh veggies and hay. They make a great family pet and enjoy interacting with kids of all ages.

☀️ Happy Monday!
We’re starting your day ☕️ (and week) with an update on our darling Ovide, who is still looking for a loving forever family.

You may remember that 3 year old Ovide came to us after being surrendered to a shelter through no fault of his own. Because Ovide was surrendered, he is on the shyer side and seems to be taking his time adjusting and trusting humans again. This is completely understandable after what he’s been through. 😢

That being said, Ovide is still a love bug! 😻
He seeks out pets on his own time, which is just fine with us. When you hear him meow and ask for your attention, you feel as though you’ve won the lottery! 🤩 You’ve earned Ovide’s trust, which is huge. He will rub against everything in his path on his way to you, and purr away while you pet him.

As you can see from his photos, Ovide is a very handsome guy — just look at his big white mittens! He really enjoys being brushed and loves to have his tummy pet when he’s relaxed. He also loves playtime and plays with balls whenever he gets the chance, that is when he’s not perched high up on his cat tree, watching the world go by. 👀

As we mentioned earlier, Ovide’s surrender hit him hard and he is going to need heaps of love and kindness in his forever home. ❤️
He will be a wonderful addition to any family, as he loves being by his foster’s side and sleeping in their lap.
