Every pet I capture is special, but some really pull on my heart strings. There were a few times when I had tears in my eyes when I was editing Oskar's portraits.

The place he holds in his parents' hearts, the fact that he's older and he's spent his whole life with them, his expressions in the photos, and most of all, because I know how much these images mean to them.

I know exactly how it feels, because I also have an old little man in my life, and the photos I have of and with him mean the world to me.

Oskar looks sweet and innocent, but he's had quite a life! I'll tell you more about him in one of the pet of the week posts, but I'll just say that one of his accomplishments in life was to protect his parents from an elk 🫎

When I think of a music that fits the dog best, I also think of the instrument. When I thought of Maisie the little dachshund, what came to mind was a happy violin.
