Very true 🤣

OH HOW THIS MADE US LAUGH! But is it strictly true? Is the ‘horror period’ in a BC more like 6-24 months, or do some dogs never have them at all? We’d be interested in your stories of when your own growing collies were at their ‘trickiest’, before maturity finally arrived. Or maybe they never got to maturity at all!

🫶Looking for something fun, different, and a little bit joyful to do with your dog?
This is it‼️

Starting Wednesday, April 29th at 5:45 PM, join us for a 4-week course where you and your dog will learn the basics of line dancing together — building skills, connection, and confidence along the way.

This class is designed for pet dog owners who want to have some fun while still working on those important foundation skills.

Think:
✨ Movement and teamwork
✨ Focus around distractions
✨ Learning to work together in a whole new way
✨ And yes… a lot of smiles and laughs along the way

Dogs should have basic obedience skills and be comfortable working in close proximity to other dogs. All dogs will remain on leash throughout the class to help set everyone up for success.

This is not about perfection — it’s about enjoying time with your dog while building real-life skills in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Dogs with gut problems may struggle with more than digestion.💩 A new peer reviewed study in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association found dogs with chronic digestive disease (chronic enteropathy) showed significantly more stress, anxiety, and emotional reactivity than healthy dogs. They were also almost twice as likely to show distress when their owners prepared to leave the house.

Even dogs with mild digestive symptoms showed signs of emotional strain, supporting what scientists call the gut brain axis, the close connection between the digestive system and the brain.

Researchers suggest treatment should support the whole dog, including:
• gut health and inflammation
• microbiome balance (diet, prebiotics, probiotics, microbiome therapies)
• stress and emotional wellbeing

Supporting emotional health may also help improve digestive health.
