Sharing a throwback to my very first cake order from February 2023. I know it’s Friday — but why not? 😄
I still can’t believe where I started and where I am today.
With no baking experience, I began with nothing but a deep love for dogs. I always wanted to do something for them. After working in the pet industry, that desire to do something just for them only grew stronger.
It started with a lot of trial and error. Piper was my little guinea pig (spoiled rotten — and he knows it 😂). I used to make cakes just for practice. In fact, before I accepted this vintage cake order, I made a trial version just to be sure I could actually do it.
I’ve been told vintage cakes are hard for beginners — and let me tell you, even with all the tutorials out there, they’re not easy. But I took the challenge, and here it is — my first-ever cake order going out. I was so proud of myself. 💗
Sometimes you just have to take the leap, trust your gut, and go after what you love. With a lot of practice and persistence, you’ll get there. Just don’t give up.
Even now, I still do trial runs when I’m unsure — because I want to get it right. I never want to deliver a half-hearted job. People often say, “You must love what you do,” and the answer is — yes, I really do. ☺️ I’m living my dream, and not everyone gets to say that. 💛
If you asked me 10 years ago whether I’d be baking cakes for dogs, I would’ve laughed. But sometimes an idea just falls in your lap — and if you don’t try, you’ll never know if it’s meant for you.
I found my calling, and I’m so grateful to be where I am today. I can’t wait to keep growing this little bakery. 💕🐾
So, go live your dream!! ☺️💛🐾
It isn’t easy for sure and there will be fails. But one day, you’ll achieve something that YOU would be proud of
