I haven’t been able to post an update on T-Rex because so much has happened + this bunny mama has been an anxious mess!!

Little man goes for his surgery next week- send us positive vibes!! He’s doing so amazing despite being on meds and probably still experiencing some discomfort. All this mama can do is keep an eye on him, keep up with meds and let him rest!

Please send positive vibes and best wishes for a speedy recovery!! Chez Atlas BnB will host two upcoming fundraisers this fall where all proceeds will go directly to paying off his vet bills.

T-Rex popping into say hello!!

Thank you all for your concern about me. I’m not out of the woods yet, but my mom says I’m being such a trooper!

Unfortunately the abscess behind my eye is still causing problems and pushing my eye out. It really hurts!!! But for now I’m on some yummy meds, and I’m getting lots of extra treats - especially when I get the pokey med! 💉 My mom says I need the injection to keep fighting off the infection.

The next step is my mom is taking me to get something called a CT scan. She said we have to go on a long car ride to Laval to get this done. We are waiting for the appointment but once that is booked we will be on our way. The CT will help the vet have a clear picture of what is going on with the abscess so we can make a plan for a safe and smooth surgery.

I still might lose my eye, and that’s very scary, but mom says she knows I’m a fighter and can adapt to anything! After all, I had dental surgery and got my 🍒 removed on the same day!! That was a shock! 😳

I might need another trim soon - you can see my 🦷 in this picture! Fun fact: my name is T-Rex because my full name is actually Toothless Rex - based on having surgery to remove my incisors and being the best breed ever (a Rex)!

All these vet bills are adding up for my mom, but she says she would do anything for me because I’m just her baby! I’m only 3 after all!

My mom says I’ve been through so much. She rescued me from a breeder who was giving me away for free when she saw my overgrown teeth. That person bought me at an auction, so within my 1st year of life I was passed around a lot. When my crazy mom rescued me I was just so happy to be able to eat and hop and live my life! Mom says I’m the toughest little bunny she’s ever met. She fell in love with me the same night!

My mom and I both want to thank everyone for checking in, and for all your support with our boarding business. Every boarding or grooming appointment helps with our vet bills. My mom said she has some ideas to help raise funds for my upcoming surgery by selling more of our treats, toys and maybe some cool things for humans! We can’t wait to share this with you.

Thank you everyone for your concern with T-Rex. He’s not out of the woods yet, but his teeth are in great shape so that’s very exciting to hear since he’s my toothy boy.

He’s battling a possible infection behind his eye which is very scary, so let’s hope he continues to respond to antibiotics. :)

We have some exciting news to share. You can now book a grooming or nail trim appointment at our location online!

We will open up Saturday mornings from 10:30-1pm on most Saturdays to accommodate this. Mobile grooming will continue to be booked through Facebook or email.

The first of a few updates!

✂️ Grooming update! ✂️

We continue to offer limited mobile grooming services to Westboro, Nepean, Kanata and Barrhaven.

We are currently not accepting new clients downtown, east Ottawa, Orleans or beyond the Kanata/Barrhaven. We apologize for the inconvenience. ***We will continue to service our existing clients in these areas.***

Upcoming grooming runs will be Westboro/Nepean, Barrhaven, Kanata - dates tbd but if you are in this area expect a message shortly.
An updated pricing list can be found below and will be on the website shortly - it should contain very minimal changes, with very few impacted clients.

This summer I will be taking some much needed time off from mobile grooming. Exact dates TBD. Grooming services at our location will always be available! (By appointment only).

We hope this will make things easier for us to manage while I continue to navigate the challenges of a new job, and continue to care for our bnb guests who remain of utmost importance!

I’m still catching up on emails, messages and winding down from Bunnypalooza, and crazy busy with both my new job + Chez Atlas BnB! I will get to everyone’s messages soon!

A life/business update, and mobile grooming will resume in June! :)
