About Brambles & Bushes Fiber Arts

Working on finely crafted items for friends and family has always been an expression of my affection for others or given as a thank you for their acts of kindness. I started many years ago making quilted Christmas tree skirts and placemats as Christmas gifts and by request, gradually expanded to include other matching items.

That is how Brambles & Bushes Fiber Arts started: with the encouragement of those same family and friends, my goal is to bring the same warmth and joy to others.

All items are carefully made with pride to last using my own designs and patterns. New and and seasonal patterns are first drafted, then prototyped before being introduced to the collection. Complementary coloured fabrics and prints are carefully chosen to blend colours and patterns to ensure each hand finished item is truly a piece of ‘Countertop Art”. Custom pieces always include close consultation with the buyer on colour, use of thread enhancements and fabric selections.

All Brambles & Bushes products are sewn using B&B quilt appliqué designs and often incorporating cross stitch pieces. Cross stitched areas are made by other artisans and are always pre-washed to test for colour fastness before use.
