Meet Jack – The Sweetest Adventure Buddy
Jack is a stunning blue-eyed, red merle Australian Shepherd (born April 10, 2023) who will steal your heart with his quirky personality and sweet nature. He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and on Nexgard Spectra prevention—healthy and ready to find his forever adventure partner.
Jack is incredibly smart, has formal training - including ecollar. He walks well on leash, knows place command, is crate trained, has great obedience skills and a recall that is truly 10/10. He has also dabbled in agility and would excel in a variety of dog sports, he’s biddable and eager to please!
Unlike many Aussies, Jack has a fantastic “off switch.” At home he’s relaxed and cuddly—happy to lounge on the couch, chew a Nylabone, or simply be nearby. When out and about he is full of energy, he loves his walks and off-leash hikes. Jack is friendly with people; he has been great with kids he’s met in family settings as well. He does well with other dogs outside of the home during his walks – he was a regular participant in off leash pack walks and thoroughly enjoyed them!
Jack does have some quirks: he is wary of new objects in the home and may bark at them until he realizes that they are not concerning, he adjusts fairly quickly and moves on! He also tends to over-drink water if not monitored which leads to throwing up water/needing to p*e urgently.
The reason Jack is looking for a new place to land is that he struggles with resource guarding around other dogs in the home. For this reason, we are looking for a home without other pets or young children. Jack comes with a private training lesson to assist his new owners with the transition!
Jack is a sweet and lovable boy who will reward the right person with endless loyalty, joy, and companionship. He is truly one-of-a-kind.
