🐾✨ Alumni Benny ✨🐾

Benny, previously Keagan, was one of two puppies to come into our care after being rescued from the severe wildfires that spread across the Prairies last summer. Since his adoption nine months ago, Benny has grown up quite a lot!! From exploring the world around him to cuddles with his forever family, he's gone from precious puppy to a handsome young man. Let's hear an update from his pawrents:

"Benny is an absolute dream! He is thriving and perfectly completed our family! He loved his first winter, loves running and walks and all the snuggles he can get."

🎨🐾PAINT NIGHT to support Canine Haven Rescue 🐾🎨

Join us for a fun and creative evening on the patio while supporting the incredible dogs of Canine Haven Rescue!

Enjoy a guided paint night led by a local artist as you create your own dog & Muskoka-themed canvas masterpiece to take home. No experience is necessary—just bring your friends and enjoy a relaxing evening of painting, wine, snacks, and beautiful waterfront views.

If you're looking for a dog who believes life is meant to be lived at full speed (with frequent snack breaks), Greer is your girl. She's a happy, bouncy bundle of energy who approaches every day like it's a party and you're her favorite guest. Equal parts affectionate shadow and playful goofball, Greer wants to be wherever her people are, preferably involving a game of tug, because in her opinion everything is a tug toy if you try hard enough.

Greer is incredibly people-loving and has never met a stranger she didn't immediately want to be best friends with. Her greetings can be a bit enthusiastic, but she settles quickly and is more than happy to trade zoomies for cuddles once the excitement passes. She's got that classic Velcro dog charm, loyal, affectionate, and always checking in to make sure you're still part of her fan club.

Greer would thrive in an active home that can match her energy and give her plenty of outlets to play, explore, and burn off steam. She loves other dogs and enjoys playtime, though she can get a little overexcited and forget her manners. At home, Greer settles nicely once her fun quota has been met. She does well with routine, relaxes in her crate, and is perfectly capable of recharging for her next adventure (or snack opportunity). With some guidance and breaks, she does great and just wants everyone to have a good time.

Greer is the kind of dog who will make you laugh daily, keep you active, and love you endlessly. If you're ready for a loyal sidekick with a big personality, a bigger heart, and a slightly questionable definition of inside voice, Greer is ready to move in and steal your heart... and probably your socks. Foster Feature Friday!!

Hubert is a 5-7 year old Shepherd mix with a heart of gold and a true love for humans. He is truly the ultimate people dog!!

Hubert enjoys the simple things in life - walks around the neighborhood, time in the backyard, a good game of fetch, and bonds deeply through training. He is a very intelligent dog who learns tricks and commands quickly, and loves to play with treat puzzles and snuffle mats. With his exercise and enrichment needs met, Hubert is the best couch snuggler you'll ever meet!

Like any dog, there are a few things Hubert is still working on with his training, which will give plenty of opportunity to bond with his forever family. Hubert would be happiest as the star of the show, without other dogs in the house, and he'll be your best buddy for life.

We are so happy to share that Drake’s dental surgery went well. After his dental assessment, it was determined that he needed 6 teeth removed. He is now back home, resting comfortably and beginning his recovery journey. 🦷✨️

We want to send a huge thank you to everyone who donated, shared, commented, and followed along with Drake’s fundraiser. Your support, kindness, and generosity helped make sure he could receive the care he needed.🙏💕

Drake has been through a lot, and we are so grateful he can now focus on healing and feeling better. We will continue to keep everyone updated as he recovers.

The final invoice was $1,931.30 leaving $673.70 towards Tino’s dental surgery in July.

🐾✨ Alumni Eevee✨🐾

Eevee, formerly Icy, has been in her forever home for a year and a half. Swipe ➡️ to see this cutie living it up with her FURever family and wearing the most precious pjs! And let's get an update on how she's been doing:

"Let us just start by saying that Eevee (formerly Icy) has grown immensely and has become a vital part of this family! She started off as a bit of a shy girl, but now she has friends, family and siblings that just love her to pieces!! It's very rare in this house that she's not smiling, and if she's not, a quick mention about a trip to grandma's house will certainly crack one. 😄

Her training is going VERY well, she knows ALMOST all her commands, with the exception of "come" sometimes, but that's typically because she's having so much fun outside. Attached will be some pictures of Eevee and videos that my wife and I have taken over the year of her - please enjoy them as much as we enjoy having her part of the family.❤️"
