To build self control you must have a great way of capturing attention. It only takes a few minutes to help your dog to have better self control. The 2 black pouches on the cedar chest have one more meal of food in them for each dog. I went to the washroom and came back and neither had been touched. So I thought I would extend it and grab my phone to show you that for Millie I am more important than food and for Tommie, well as I took the picture he looked away. Hahaha 🤣.

Sometimes you have to give them their own ball! He could never beat Millie to the ball. He also whined like a mad man if he was back tied waiting for a turn!

When I started training Millie I started collecting different items to use for different textures for her to stand or lay on. Tommie is just the age to start socializing with his environment.

Hi all, I'm going back to where I paused posting to try and catch up. This is Tommie when he was about 8.5 weeks old. We were attempting to learn to hunt for his food. As you can see he was bouncy and all over the place. This Infact is how pups of most breeds are. They don't come out knowing exactly what they need to know about the human world. If you want them to learn something they need to be taught. Expecting a dog or puppy to perform without education will cause confusion with them and frustration for you. 💙🐾

So this is Millie showing her bad work ethic. She is pushy and wants what she wants but if you ask her for something, she will ignore me, walk away from me or bark at me basically telling me no she doesn't want to do it. Most of the time I have to power through a) because I know she can do it and b) because she must do what I ask. Don't let your dogs get away with side tracking you!
