Very grateful to have spent 3 days as the animal wrangler on set for filming a commercial with Datenight Digital Agency and Chameleon TV (.tv) for the Bone & Biscuit! It was a great experience working with such a supportive and kind team of people 🙏
On set with me was Mabel, () the 1.5 year old Golden Retriever, who played “Adult Max” and was an absolute dream to work with! She was sent my way by my good friend and fellow trainer .keem.training so I knew she would come with reliable training. She was truly *perfect* for this shoot, I knew it from the moment I met her. I did some one on one sessions leading up to the shoot so we would be familiar with each other and be ready for her scenes. Great temperament, very smart and adaptive, total sweetheart, I loved working with her 🥹
The puppies on set with me:
- Sunny, the 3 month old Golden Retriever puppy from The Golden Story Kennels and owner Clarissa Velthuizen, he played “Puppy Max”.
- Pink, the 4 month old Golden Retriever puppy from Melissa Martin-Savoie (), who played the “New puppy” in the story that will carry on “Max’s” legacy.
After doing a big casting call and tons of phone interviews I knew these 2 would be the perfect puppies for this commercial and they fit the producers vision! These 2 puppies came to many new environments and experienced new sights, sounds, etc and didn’t miss a beat - they were both very social and confident young puppies, which as a trainer is so nice to see!
