☀️🐶 HEATSTROKE WARNING FOR SHORT-FACED DOGS 🐶☀️

Short-faced (brachycephalic) breeds like French Bulldogs, Pugs, Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, Boxers, and Shih Tzus are at a MUCH higher risk of heatstroke. Their shorter airways make it harder for them to cool themselves down, even on mildly warm days. 🥵

⚠️ Signs of heatstroke:• Heavy panting• Excessive drooling• Bright red gums or tongue• Vomiting or diarrhea• Weakness or collapsing• Trouble breathing

🚨 If you notice these signs:✅ Move them to a cool/shaded area immediately✅ Offer cool (not ice cold) water✅ Use cool wet towels on paws, belly, and chest✅ Contact your vet ASAP

🐾 Prevention is key:• Avoid walks during the hottest parts of the day• Always provide shade and fresh water• Never leave dogs in a parked car• Keep exercise short and light in warm weather

When in doubt — keep them cool. Heatstroke can become life-threatening very quickly. ❤️

As the weather gets warmer, more motorcycles are back out on the roads. This month is a reminder for everyone to stay alert, look twice, and share the road safely. A quick glance can save a life. ❤️

Please remember:

• Give motorcycles extra space
• Use signals early
• Stay focused and avoid distractions while driving

Tick season is here 🐾🌿

With the warmer weather, ticks are out and about—especially on trails, in tall grass, and wooded areas. Keeping your pups (and yourself) protected is so important this time of year!

A few quick tips:
• check your dog thoroughly after every walk
• don’t forget spots like ears, paws, and under the collar
• stay on top of tick prevention
• avoid long grass when possible
