THIS WILL NEVER GET OLD. ♥️🐾🇯🇲🌺

it’s hard to believe that it’s only been five months that this book has physically been out, and yet I have felt such connection to people, places, and One love that is so powerful; that it feels like such a much longer time than that. This is so much more than a book. It’s a movement.

I still look at her and see the helpless puppy who bounded over to me on the beach.

I knew in an instant, I couldn't leave her there to die. I just had no idea where to start. But if there is a will, there is a way. You just need to start and take the first step, and keep going.

Now I watch her sleep peacefully beside me, safe, loved, and without a worry in the world, and I think about how close she came to a completely different ending.

Marley and I will always be grateful to the community that formed to help save her, before she even had a name. She sleeps peacefully every night because you believed she was a life worth saving.

And this is WHY every book sold of One Love. One a dog. supports  because if those puppies hadn’t been found on the street and given emergency shelter, love, and food, they wouldn’t have had a chance.

Their story would have ended very differently. 😭♥️

What's extra exciting is that I have connected with their mom and will be able to keep tabs on their happy, loving life.

Marley’s story has officially landed in Brimfield, Massachusetts. ❤️🐾

Roy sent this photo in. He received his two copies of One Love. One Dog. Marley’s Incredible Journey, one for him, and he ordered one for his son’s kindergarten class. I love how he is proudly sporting his Marley merch too.🙌🐾

I still can’t quite wrap my head around how far this little rescue story has travelled. What started with one scared puppy in Jamaica is now reaching classrooms, families, and little hearts across North America.

And honestly… I think Roy said it best:

“One act of kindness is never too small.❤️ This story is so inspirational!”

At times it is incredibly emotional hearing their questions. I've met with three classrooms now, two of them virtually, which I call an Author Pup Cam. It's the best!

Little hearts lead with pure compassion, curiosity, and innocence. They don’t overcomplicate things, they simply feel and ask what's on their mind.

Some of these questions made me laugh, some made me pause, and some brought a little tear to my eye.

The hardest part is being prepared as I never know what's coming, but have loved every moment of it.

This is becoming one of my favourite parts of this journey. ❤️

Connecting with little hearts.

Watching children understand that one act of kindness can change an entire life. That compassion matters. That helping even one dog, one person, one soul creates a ripple far bigger than we ever imagine.

What Marley will never understand is how many human hearts she changed along the way simply by surviving the odds, and teaching people what kindness can do.
