These are some wild ones!!
This bunch is from our pen of older horses. We will be laying them down one at a time to check their teeth to age them. If the are under 5 we will proceed with training. If they are 5 or older we will not start them.

Our mission is to implement effective herd management strategies on the wild horses living on the traditional lands of BC’s southern interior. Our main goals are conservation of our delicate ecosystems and genetic diversity contributing to the overall health and wellness of the wild herds.
Horses can live for up to 30 years, and populations can double in size every 4 years. Without human intervention, herds can quickly overpopulate an area putting the entire ecosystem at risk of collapse. A lack of natural predators and protection from hunting exacerbates this population boom. We strive to maintain a sustainable number of horses.
Due to increased human settlement and activity in the area over the past several decades, open rangeland has been segmented into isolated patches. Isolation creates genetic bottlenecks due to increased occurrences of inbreeding. This leads to lower birth weights and a higher percentage of foals born with defects affecting their health and longevity. Relocating bands or individuals, removing young horses before they reach breeding age and introducing new breeding stock help mitigate the effects isolation has on these horses.
All horses removed from rangeland are available for adoption as is. We do offer halter training services for added fee, as an optional add-on to any as is sale. Suitable stock enters into our training program and are available for purchase.
We accept surrenders and facilitate rehoming, and offer fair pricing on all horses that come to us in this way. Any horse brought to us for rehoming or surrendered will enter either our training program or our range program depending upon suitability. They may become available for sale once we determine which program they will enter into.
