La River Amelialand FCI turned two yesterday. The last five months have been fun watching this girl come into herself and I’m looking forward to a full hunting season with her. Birthday birds and a sunshine cookie is how we celebrated.

Our local NAVHDA Chapter held their test weekend a few weeks back. We had four Four Point pups and Robingun’s JJ Juke hit the field. Thanks to the owners for testing their dogs and making the trip whether it was a one hour drive or a fifteen hour drive.

The Y litter may be small, but it's one we've been looking forward to.
This litter consists of just two puppies: Yeti and Yonder Drift. We imported frozen semen from Poland and performed a TCI breeding, hoping for a larger litter. Sometimes breeding plans unfold differently than expected, and that's simply part of the journey.
For now, we're grateful to have these two healthy pups. We can't wait to watch them grow over the next four weeks, and even more excited to see what the months and years ahead have in store for them.

These chunky pups are two weeks old already!
Both pups are staying in Alberta, the female with us and will hopefully be Vespa’s replacement. Four Point’s Yonder Drift.
Call name Drift.
The male will be an hour away with one of our K puppy owners. He’s primarily white, besides his brown head and two brown dots closer to the head of his tail. So we figured Four Point’s Yeti (have yet to decided on the second part still) would be fitting.

Our Y litter arrived last Friday morning with some help from Cedarwood Veterinary Clinic. This was a TCI breeding with frozen semen from the Polish stud SIR X-Zibit v. Musterland. Although we were hoping for two or three more pups, we ended up with one female and one male. Vespa was a trooper as these pups weighed in at 554g and 542g. Pups are thriving, perhaps a little too much… Vespa is the same great mom she always is.

Four Point’s Tulip A Bloom ended up becoming the replacement female for three of our girls. Robingun’s Cindy Lou Who, Four Point’s Alberta Bound, and her dam, Four Point’s Iris A Bloom.
No pressure, Tulip!
We’re excited to see what she produces for us later this year and in the years to come.
