Oh those puppy eyes!
If your pup is a professional beggar, don't give in! Begging, when rewarded, become a very unwanted behavior. Plus, all that extra food is not great for your dog's waist line!

To prevent begging, your dog should work for everything. No treats without a sit or down - no trick, no treat.

You should also have a place for your dog to go when you are eating, their crate, a bed or mat, where they can relax away from you and your food.

Puppies don't differentiate. If they have access to lots of toys that can translate to furniture, shoes and other things you don't want them to have. Limit your pup to 3 toys at a time - something to chew, a stuffie or ball and something interactive. Change the toys every couple of days to keep things interesting!

Help your pup love their crate!
Feed them in the crate, put a favourite toy in, make it comfy, put a stuffed Kong in to keep them busy. If your pup is struggling with the crate put a t-shirt that smells like you in the crate and leave a radio on low.
