✨ ROYAL WINTER FAIR 2025 — TRIP RECAP! ✨
This year marked our third annual trip to the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, the largest indoor agricultural fair in the world! 🌎🐴
Our students experienced so many unforgettable moments, including:
🤩 Watching world-class riders in the K9–Equine Challenge
🤠 Taking in both rodeos, the Qualifiers and the Finals!
🎪 Exploring the show floor, agriculture exhibits, livestock, vendors, and all the Royal traditions
⭐ Our team got to meet Amber Marshall from CBC’s HeartlandWe presented her with a stunning beaded medallion made by Maria Wabie.
As cheesy as it sounds… Heartland is the reason I found my way to horses.
We aren’t all born on a ranch—some of us needed a little inspo to get there. 😉
Seeing our students meet someone who helped spark that journey for me when I was a teen felt like a full-circle moment.
It takes a lot of work to make this trip happen each year, coordinating tickets, logistics, schedules, transportation, meals, and making sure everyone is safe and cared for. It’s a big undertaking…But the second I see their faces light up when they walk through those Royal doors, it’s all worth it.
And I have to say it… I am SUPER proud of my students. The way they take on new adventures, step into new spaces, soak up every experience, and carry themselves with pride and excitement makes every long day and late night completely worth it.
And this trip lit a fire in our riders🔥
Our show team is coming back stronger than ever.Inspired, motivated, and ready to work hard for the 2026 season!
Beyond the excitement, this trip held real value for our riders:
✨ They witnessed top-tier horsemanship and competition firsthand.
✨ They connected with the broader equine and agricultural world outside our northern community.
✨ They explored future careers in agriculture, veterinary science, coaching, show management, and more.
✨ They built confidence, strengthened friendships, and created memories that will last a lifetime.
✨ And for many, experiencing an event of this scale showed them just how big their dreams can be.
Huge shout out to our chaperones and helpers who made this trip possible and smooth from start to finish: Arielle, Janice, and Maria — thank you for your time, energy, and care for our riders. I couldn’t have done it without you. 💛
Dreams were made, inspiration grew, and so much fun was had. ❤️
I am incredibly proud of our Algonquin Acres riders.
Until next year, Royal! 👑🐴✨
