The Black Dog Cookie House

The Black Dog Cookie House Dog Walking service in North and West Vancouver We only take social dogs, that enjoy being in forested trails with other dogs.

The Black Dog Cookie House offers group walks that are one hour in length, and are conducted on many different trails across the North Shore. Our purpose is to offer fun and safe walks for dogs of all sizes and age, so that they can come home exercised, with a big smile on their face.

Happy anniversary Ash (June 27th)! It was on this day 5 years ago that we first met. True to his breed, he likes to keep the other dogs in line - meaning, he barks at them as they run around! 😂 Always so excited to see his friends and spend time with them in the woods - and of course, he always insists on a spot on the back couch (here with our Idefix)! Happy, happy 6th birthday, Lily (on July 31st)! As you can see, she likes to hang out with a variety of dogs in the van, as long as she gets to share the back couch! In the first picture with our Idefix; in the second one with Sami on her left, and Tycho on her right. Happy, happy 10th birthday, Finn! He and our Chance used to hang together (slightly different breeds, but still cousins and look so similar); but he also has a big small dog fan club! We’re so sorry and sad to share that Shadow was sent to Doggie Heaven last week. He got to spend lots of quality time with his family, as well us and his friends right until the end. We have been lucky enough to share 11 years with BigHead (as we affectionately called him). He was sweet, fun, and so full of an incredible zest for life - it was always infectious. He just wanted to be in the woods chasing his friends, and he got to do plenty of that. We will miss him so much - his big happy bark, his big smile, his big personality. It has been hard not having him in the groups last week - he has left a big hole for us all. Our hearts go out to his family, who shared this photo with us. It looks to us like he’s seeing all his friends that went before him over the years (including our Chance most recently), and he’s getting ready to run towards them. I’m sure they’re all running around together freely and so happy! We miss you so much, big Boogerhead!
