I was in a consult with an amazing family the other day who have two kids and a St Bernard x Bernese dog. This family LOVES their dog and that is obvious. I had so much fun chatting with them. At the end of the session I was explaining how important sniffing is for dogs. Describing how we discover the world through our eyes, but our dogs discover the world through their noses. The young daughter chimed in and said "trees must me like social media for dogs, when they sniff its like reading a status update". I was so thrilled with the creative connection this girl had made to relate with her dog. Kids can sure be amazing little dog trainers. Upon asking her she said I could share this on her behalf. Thank you Vicky for your creativity and desire to connect with your pup Samson. Moments like these are truly magical!
