Hi everyone!

It is with a very heavy heart that I announce the closure of Manalo Chinchillas.
We have been raising chinchillas for over a decade. It has become part of the family, and I am very fortunate to raise my girls around such awesome animals.
The herd has been sold and will be remaining in Canada with a breeder in Southern Ontario.
I recently took a promotion at the bank where I work, which will limit my capacity to comfortably balance both. I will however remain active in The MCBA, judging and being present for shows and events.
To all of my mentors over the years, thank you for your support and advice, I can't explain how grateful I am.

This is the end for now, but I'm not one to say never again.

Hi Everyone! I will be travelling to Burlington, ONT on Friday April 2nd 2021.
We will be taking HWY 17 South to the 400 South, then the 407 West. We will be passing through Huntsville, Barrie, Vaughan, Brampton, Mississauga and Oakville.

Found a litter of triplets this morning, all pink whites (2 I'm pretty sure are homo beige whites)
The 2 males of this litter were in the cage, cold and barely responsive. One male has a cut on his lip and above his nose. This is common in birth as sometimes mom has a harder time delivering and will accidentally nip the babies.
I took them inside, got them on a heat pad and began massaging their chests. This video was taken about an hour after bringing them in. Good to see them more alert and making sounds.
The female of this litter is completely healthy and with mom. If these boys are strong enough in a few hours, I'll be moving them back in with the mom and sister.
Fingers crossed that hand feeding isn't on the agenda!
