With the possibility of a teacher strike starting Monday, October 6, we know many parents are wondering how they’ll balance work, home, and kids being out of school.
At Count Thunder Valley Ranch, we’re here to support families during this uncertain time. Our ranch is a safe, welcoming space where kids (ages 9+) of all abilities can:
✨ Spend time with our horses, pigs, chickens, dogs, and barn cats
✨ Enjoy structured outdoor activities that build confidence and independence
✨ Connect with peers in a calm, supportive environment
✨ Have fun while parents know they’re safe and cared for
We specialize in working with neurodivergent kids and teens, but our programs are open and enriching for every child.
We’re opening up day programming spots during school hours starting Monday if the strike goes ahead. Whether you need a full day, a few hours, or ongoing support, we’re here to help take the pressure off your family.
📅 Flexible scheduling
🐎 Hands-on, nature-based activities
💙 Staff experienced in supporting diverse learning needs
📘 Curriculum support available: If your family has picked up the education toolkit issued by the government, we can help guide your child through it while they’re here.
We’ll keep things fun, structured, and supportive, because kids deserve more than just “waiting it out.”
👉 If you’d like to book a spot or learn more, message us here or email us at [email protected]. Spaces will be limited.
Together, we’ve got this 💪💙.
