A: Thorhild has an AMAZING bakery and an AMAZING pizza place, go get some food! Newbrook has a kick butt library with a kick butt librarian, go sit and read and drink coffee!

Shaving a double-coated dog, like Huskies, Aussies or Shepherds, is generally not recommended and can cause more harm than good. These breeds have a double layer of fur – a dense undercoat and a longer topcoat – that acts as insulation, regulating their body temperature and protecting them from both heat and cold. Shaving disrupts this natural system and can lead to various issues. Instead, opt for a bath and blow-out - this service includes a shampoo and condition of the coat followed by a dry with a high velocity dryer and brushing. This process removes loose hair, dirt and debris leaving your dogs coat clean, soft and matt free (it also helps reduce shedding).

Trimming your dogs nails is essential for their comfort and health. Nails that are too long can cause pain and affect the way your dog walks. We offer mobile nail trims, nail trims in salon and will soon be having regular nail trim pop-ups in different locations in the area. Nail trims are also included in every grooming package. Meet Wallace. Wallace loves snacks. Wallace doesn't love the blow dryer, clippers or brushes. Wallace's mom brings him in to see me every 2-4 weeks so we can get him more comfortable with grooming. Be like Wallace's mom.

I always chose comfort over vanity. If your dog is terrified of something in the groom room I go slow, give frequent breaks and always end on a positive note, but, sometimes that means the job is not complete and isn't aesthetically perfect. Grooming should be a positive experience for your pet and not something they dread. With repetition, positive reinforcement and lots of patience we can work together to make your pets visit more enjoyable.
