We’ve Made It Official – Nya is Home for Good!

After months of ups and downs trying to find Nya a good home—and knowing we couldn’t bring ourselves to send her to the SPCA, where things could have gone badly for her—we’ve finally made the decision to make her a permanent part of our family.

After a lot of thought and many special moments together, we realized Nya is already where she belongs. She’s brought so much love back into our lives, and we know she feels safe, comfortable, and happy here with us. It feels good to give her the best we can for the years she has left.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey and supported us as we figured things out. We’re excited for all the walks, snuggles, and memories still to come.

Nya’s Training Progress! 🐾✨"

Nya has made immense progress in her comfort and stress tolerance around other dogs! Yesterday, we had an amazing training session with Camellia from Camellia's Wild Dog Training, and we were both so impressed with how well she did. 💛

She has been working incredibly hard on her training and socialization, and it truly shows. With continued guidance, patience, and structure, she will keep improving. Should her future family choose to continue her training, there is no doubt that Nya will thrive in her socialization journey.

Her training program with Camellia includes private lessons, group pack classes, and ongoing support for the rest of her life—a wonderful opportunity for her future family to help her continue building confidence and success! 🐶💪

Nya living her best life! ❄️☀️🐾

We took advantage of this beautiful sunny day for a walk through the snowy farmland in Grand-Pré. She loves exploring freely, taking in all the scents, and putting her incredible nose to work! 🐶💨 Her happy place is anywhere she can sniff, roam, and just be a dog. 💛

Nya is still searching for her forever home—someone who will take her on these walks, let her explore, and enjoy the world at her pace. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy, she’s ready to meet you! 💕

Look at Nya being such a good girl at Kent Building Supplies today! She stayed focused, ignored distractions, and paid close attention to me, even with people walking by. It’s moments like these that show how much progress she’s made. Proud of this sweet and smart girl! 💕

Our Little Snow Adventure ❄️🐾”

She always loves being outside—sniffing, walking, and exploring—but the cold isn’t her favorite. Her little paws get chilly quickly, so she doesn’t last too long in the snow. Still, she made the most of it, enjoying the fresh air and showing off her cute black coat! 🖤

Nya and Her Stuffy Squad 🧸❤️

If you’ve ever met Nya, you’ve probably noticed her favorite habit: carrying her beloved stuffies everywhere she goes! Whether she’s greeting someone at the door or just hanging out at home, you can bet there’s a stuffy in her mouth. For Nya, her toys are more than just playthings—they’re her little security blankets, helping her feel calm and safe in new or exciting situations.

But don’t let her fool you—she’s not just cuddling! Nya loves showing off her collection, parading her toys around proudly like the queen of stuffies she is. It’s her way of saying, “I’m happy, but I am very overwhelmed or overexcited!

Her stuffies are a big part of her adorable personality, and we can’t help but love how cute she looks with one (or two!) in her mouth. Who needs to chase squirrels when you’ve got a trusty stuffed animal to keep you company?
