Well….. today was a scary day that’s for sure. Thank goodness for good mares and amazing veterinary teams.
Cherry was having troubles foaling. She’s so good though and let me check her right in the pen. I’ve pulled lots of babies, but as soon as I put my hand in, everything in me went nope!
Off to the vet we went.
As breeders we have these beautiful mares to raise foals, but the special ones like Cherry also become family.
Even though the filly didn’t make it, I am so so fortunate and blessed that Cherry pulled through. Currently we are monitoring and making her cozy in her stall where we will continue with the prescribed medicines for the next few days.
